Hampton Inn Glenwood Springs

I've stayed in Hampton Inns in many different locations and always been happy. This by far was among the worst. The check-in was miserable. The lady at the front counter was drunk or high - completely confused and took 20 minutes to check in. The air conditioner / heater in the room was very noisy and kept waking me up all through the night. We go to Glenwood quite often but in the future we'll go back to one of the other hotels that we've stayed at and enjoyed in the past.

Nice clean hotel, exactly what you would expect from a Hampton/ Hilton property. Good breakfast and for the first time since the COVID started we received service for the room. On the not so nice side, you get charged $10 per parking, which was always free. The carpet on the lobby level needs replacing, but otherwise the rooms and the rest of the corridors seemed to have been remodeled recently. The window in our room was not opening, very annoying since you had to turn on the AC to get some fresh air. The bathroom door is a sliding door type but with no handle is hard to close it or to open.

I didn’t appreciate having to pay to park our car in the parking lot. No hotel has ever charged me for parking until now.

A lot of ants in my room

Very pleasant stay for us as a retired couple. Convenient location if you have a car. Walkable to some attractions if you’re spry. Breakfast was pretty good but not exceptional. Room was pleasant and bed was comfortable. Bathroom had lower than usual toilet height (you know who you are if this is a concern for you) but this was a standard room, not “accessible”

Perfect location. Close to Iron Mtn Hot Springs. Walkable to food. Great breakfast daily. Very helpful and kind staff.

We had no wifi or TV during our stay. I couldn't get any work done, research fun things to do, or have my children be entertained. We had to hotspot for everything, which was super frustrating. The pool was very green, which made me think there was a algae problem, but it could have been the lighting. We only went into the pool once because of that. It was very hot in Glenwood during our stay and our room stayed cool, but the hallways and common areas of the hotels were brutally hot. Besides that, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They attempted to get our wifi fixed, but couldn't. The hotel and room was very clean beside the pool area.

We had a very good experience staying here. The property was located easily and provided easy access to the town. The daily breakfast offered a tasty variety each day, too. There were several activities within walking distance. The room was spacious for my family of 4. The property was clean and staff was very kind and accommodating. We did not have access to the hot tub in site due to it needing maintenance and our pool needed attention. But we were given access to the hot tub and pool in the neighboring hotel with just a short walk through the parking lot. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Room was decent and clean, outside of building was dirty and the windows were covered in filth (from outside) so looking out was not pleasant. Main hallway smelled horrible but didn’t affect the room. Ice maker did not work on third floor and pool was not pleasing as it was dark and never saw anyone actually using it. Room was a good size but just be aware this is not a “separate” bedroom as it’s described, it’s more of just an additional open space they put a tv and bed in, there is no privacy or door between the main room and bedroom.

The breakfast was very good!! Their global is a variety of breakfast items. The property itself is maintained and very clean.

Great size room within walking distance to town. Breakfast was just ok, but nice having the option.

Delapidated hotel, with a very noisy A/C, making it impossible to sleep without earplugs

The person who checked us out was super nice and friendly! Appreciated his enthusiasm so early in the morning.

They are working on improving the property actively, nothing that spoiled our stay but they have multiple projects underway.
