Comfort Inn & Suites Golden – Denver West

This description on the website was exactly what we had.

The pool was closed the first day of the visit. There was only one table with 4 chairs at the pool, no place to relax and enjoy the pool area! We had to ask for toilet paper, wash cloths, additional towels. There was no ice machine. The carpets were dirty in the room. The TV was offline, waited 2 hours for the maintenance person to come and repair it. Over all extremely disappointing visit.

The Comfort Inn & Suites Golden – Denver West is close to Red Rocks if you are going to a show. Its location is next to I-70 so you may hear traffic depending on your room’s location. The pool and hit tub were not working/unavailable so that was a bummer. Breakfast was adequate. Check-in and out was easy. Desk clerk said the hotel is undergoing some renovations. Out A/C was nice but very noisy.

Cons - Breakfast was very minimal, bacon was paper thin microwave type that was hardly cooked, ham looked greasy, omelette was OK. Toaster only had one side of two working. We didn't notice that our IP-TV wasn't connecting to WiFi until around 6 PM and their maintenance person was done for the. The front desks person tried to resolve the TV issue but couldn't she said she would have their maintenance person look first AM. They did refund us $20.00 for the TV not working that first day. Around 11 AM on two we reported the TV again and maintenance person resolved the issues quickly by plugging the router for the TV which was unpluggedl. Pool was not open our first day, front desk person said that it would open at 9 AM the next day, didn't open until after 2 PM day two and there were no chairs or other seating and no towels at the pool.

Nothing was ready or accom9dating at this hotel.

Whole property was dirty.

Excellent value for the price great for families

Advertises Hot Tub, it looked as though it had been down for a while. The pool was broken. But the beds were comfortable, the AC worked, and the water for showers was hot.

Convenient location for a a decent price.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. The bed side lights didn’t work, we didn’t have a shower curtain and the pressure was so high it flooded the floor everytime we showered. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work either.

The Office is in another building on the property, No signage and when you call the front desk office you might get the young lady that told me I was at the wrong Motel and was very rude. Had my daughter and I running in a circle... very disappointed!!!

Room was clean and spacious. Was disappointed by the fact that pool was under construction and wasn’t listed on website. Pool was one of the reasons I chose hotel.

Room was changed to a two queen bed without any options. Dirty Carpet, breakfast ends at 9am.

The room was comfortable quiet clean. The lighting is terrible, the office is hard to find and the pool was filthy. I first thought finding the office was a me issue but 6 other guests stopped to ask where the front office is.

Very nice clean and tidy I would definitely stay there again.

When we arrived we were told the suite we reserved was not available and we'd been switched to a regular room (at a lower rate). With 2 adults, a 17, and a 19 year old, we really wanted the extra space. The room was okay. The bathroom was very small and the sink was out in the room making it impossible to get ready without waking everyone up. Sometimes the sink area is outside of the bathroom but still tucked away so the light doesn't go straight to the bed area - that wasn't the case here. The pool and hot tub were both not working during our stay. The breakfast area was nice and clean, but the options were limited compared to similar hotels we've stayed in. The eggs were low and not refilled while we were there (an hour before the end of breakfast). Overall it was an okay stay, but not what we hoped for.

Hotel is in need of some love for sure. We have stayed here in the past and it has gone downhill. Pool was closed and nasty - we were told they were working on the repairs but nothing was done or repaired in the 4 days we were there - just lip service. Bathroom had hair in and around the tub/shower. Price was good but not having the advertised amenities made it not worth it to our group.

Clean room and great beds

Very average and very overpriced at $220 a night. Pool was out of action. Room had stained old carpet, ripped threadbare sheets on one bed, broken toilet seat, no soap dispenser by the sink, had to use the shower, broken fan in bathroom. No maid service during our 2 night stop. Breakfast was busy with items running out all the time. Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at with family. Would not recommend it to families.

Treadmills in gym need service especially the belt which skips. Hot tub was empty, common areas and parking lot need cleaning, right off highway, so loud with semis and traffic, not the best lodging I’ve had.
