Hidden little gem. Great staff. Accommodating and uncomplicated.

This is an older historical property. The staff was exceptional, and it was fun to hear some of that history from them, like Bonnie and Clyde and Elvis having stayed there. If you want the old charm of a hotel with high ceilings and wooden floors and many other old details with rooms having been updated, it’s a wonderful place to be.

Nice hotel stay at downtown Gonzalez, TX. There are about 5 restaurants within walking distance from hotel. Safe area at night. Ensure to call the hotel phone # to check in, get access code for rear door. The parking area is around the back just drive around the block till you see the hotel parking sign.

The hotel was a gorgeous little piece of history. With historic buildings of course there can sometimes come issues, but when our faucet broke at 11pm on a Friday night the manager was incredibly prompt to respond, send a repairman who also showed up very quickly, and then swapped our rooms when the problem was not easily resolved. Every staff member was incredibly helpful and we will ABSOLUTELY be staying here again.

The classic old hotel will be celebrating her 100th birthday next year. Built with 18" thick walls, it has helped her age well. The Breakfast served was fantastic and well worth the time spent enjoying the wonderful company of Maggie the manager and the owners as were there decorating each room to perfection. It was a wonderful experience stumbling on to this historic gem in Gonzales.

Easy and friendly check-in. Local recommendations were given. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Walkable to many activities in Gonzales. Parking onsite. Outdoor areas for relaxing. Shops and restaurants near by. Older hotel, so some noise is to be expected, but nothing a noise maker app couldn’t remedy. Room temperature stayed comfortable.
