AC Hotel by Marriott Grand Rapids Downtown

When I was checking out I let the front desk know and the guy next to me checking out was complaining about the same issue. I was told”that’s just how it is” I’m super disappointed that I paid $250 to stay there and didn’t get any sleep.

Very clean room the staff was friendly. Bar was amazing with a live dj and great espresso martinis. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced as well.

Good stay. Clean. Would stay there again when in the area.

Location was perfect for downtown Grand Rapids. All staff were helpful and friendly and the room was a good size. The breakfast was fine, not spectacular, but the system for collecting and handing over the breakfast token was confusing.

Walking distance to all shops and restaurants Parking was inconvenient.

Very close to Van Andel They had a guest DJ and it was a party all night in the lobby and extremely loud and the poor staff was answering phone while a whole club scene was going on.

Terrible experience all around. Check in was a mess as their system was freaking out. For $400 a night you’d expect to not pay for parking, but had to pay $50. Breakfast was $20 a person for a strange buffet. Room was tiny and really not at all like the pictures. Bathroom was super cramped. Hallways smelled like urine. Shower kept dripping all night no matter what you did. Throughout the night all you hear is water dripping and cars/motorcycles revving their engines. For the convenience of being so close to Van Andel, it isn’t worth the money. Would have rather stayed 20 minutes away and used Uber to get into town. Terrible.

Location excellent for purpose of visiting Grand Rapids For the price of the room @ $439 per night, there were NO amenities you would hope to expect. No parking on site but no valet service. Room was sparce, basic tv channels and tv had terrible sound & clarity. Walls very thin hearing connecting rooms tv & noice all night. No free offerings -even COFFEE- for breakfast...which cost $20 per person...which was no more than most hotels offer as complimentary.

I did not use the amenities, but was in town to attend a conference at the convention center. It's very easy to get to (and I was trudging through pouring rain but was able to take an internal walkway almost the whole way). Restaurant options nearby and the hotel was clean, comfortable and staff courteous and helpful. Front desk clerk even gave me a supply of bandaids for my blistering feet!
