Additionally, the previous guest left all of their clothing in the drawers. So I had to bag them up and call down to have someone retrieve the left items. The drain to the tub was broken, which was a huge issue because we were traveling with a toddler. The bathroom exhaust fan was also broken. Lastly, the pool was closed ALL weekend, and we were NOT notified upon check-in. We would have selected a different hotel if we had known. When I complained to the front desk staff, they could not have cared less. I was told, “I like to have a pool when I travel as well, so I understand your disappointment.” But what they didn’t see was the 4yo I had been telling all day, after a long travel day, that he could go swimming. The pool was NOT for me. The complete and utter lack of professional, customer service, or empathy from the front desk has absolutely turned me off from this hotel in the future. For 400$/night, this is unacceptable. The only positive note was the restaurant downstairs was wonderful.

Staff we Freud my and very helpful. Rooms were excellent and well maintained. Will be booking again when needed.

TV in room not working, Ice machine on floor out of order. Pool closed. Unable to use the outdoor patio, unless we purchased from the restaurant/bar, even tho there was no service to the patio and we could not bring our own beverages

Always stay here when in Grand Rapids. It is clean, safe, and within walking distance to the theater, sports arena and all of the best restaurants.

Drinks from the bar and desserts were delicious. The staff at the front desk as well as in the restaurant were very kind and welcoming. Maybe offer a plastic / disposable tray for people who want to take food and beverages to their room- to give them something to carry it on. I struggled carrying two plates and two drinks with nothing to put them on from the restaurant up to the 17th floor and down the hall.
