Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown by IHG

We stayed at the downtown holiday inn because we had tickets to a show. It was very convenient as we could easily walk to the venue. Be aware, especially on the weekend you will need to make reservations at the restaurants downtown.

Great hotel. Clean rooms. Comfy beds. Parking included. Highly recommend if you’re going to a concert at the new amphitheater. Super easy under ten minute walk so you don’t have to worry about parking/traffic.

Always try to stay here when I come to GR! Great location - was able to comfortably walk downtown and back and to the new amphitheater and back from the hotel. Parking is great as well. Always super friendly staff:)

But, we chose your hotel because of location to our venue, Van Del arena. Check in with very smooth our room was ready when we got there approximately 2 o’clock so we were able to check in a little early, which was great. There was no “perfume” or other cleaner products that just hide and cover up the smell from water damage, plumbing issues,smoking rooms, or entire smoking floors. The property inside and out was very clean and very nice. Staff downstairs was awesome, maid was pleasant and helpful with my request for fresh towels. My family uses Uber a lot so I plan on using them for the weekend exclusively, but you offered a tremendous shuttle service. Carlos was very friendly and got us to dinner and back and then to the show with a smile. My wife and I felt very comfortable with our driver, he was awesome!! Are stay was Great! We will be back for sure!!. 5 Stars!!!

Great location for walking around downtown

Such a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful front desk help. Extra security measures in place for guest staying. Ate at Burger Theory and it was an excellent meal! Did not have the breakfast. My room was close to the highway and it was a tad noisy but nothing serious. Short walk to all the sites downtown. I would definitely use this hotel again!

Great location. Close to downtown and we could walk to the Acrisure Amphitheater.

The first room smelled of wet dog, so I asked for another. The second room smelled fine. Bed was comfortable and clean, but the carpets felt grubby. The refrigerator was extremely noisy, with a long whine. I wore earplugs most of the time. The hot breakfast was mostly inedible. The cold buffet had protein yogurt, which was unusual and much appreciated. Staff was consistently and exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was a shooting in the hotel parking lot outside my room's window at 3:30am, so police lights filled the lot for over an hour while they blocked off the lot and investigated.

Hotel was decent, but....small rooms and it sounded like you were sleeping directly on the highway. VERY loud traffic noise. We did have a room close to the end of the building but all I could here all night was traffic from the highway.
