Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton

Very clean facility with a very friendly staff. For the price the only problem I had was there was no microwave in the room. We had dinner at Ruth Chris and we both had leftovers. There was a fridge in the room to keep it overnight but no microwave to warm it the next day.

Great experience, clean room, helpful staff

We had to wait in a long line of cars before we even made it into the valet area. That process took about 20 minutes. The first room that we were given had not been cleaned. The next room ‘s AC did not work. It took numerous calls and about 30 hours before the room cooled. The front desk staff was pleasant. The second room was clean, but one chair had legs that were falling apart and the toilet seat needed to be fixed. Supper at Wolfgang’s was good with a friendly waitress.

Beautiful hotel. Great restaurant options. Close to concert venue. View out window was beautiful. Some staff were a tad snotty.

Superb

This is my third time staying here. I was so excited to book this hotel as my daughter and I were making a special trip to go wedding dress shopping. After a successful dress purchase we arrived at the hotel to check in and enjoy a relaxing evening. There were hardly any quests in the hotel as it was a Sunday night at the end of August. When we got up to the room I was surprised when I opened the door to see a cement wall outside our window. No view of anything! Even a view of another building would have been better. Had the hotel been full I would have dismissed this as- it’s a busy time of year and we probably booked one of the last rooms. But nope! They could have given us any other room and this was what we received. So disappointing for a hotel of this price and nearly empty.

Charming Hotel with excellent staff and valet service. The location was perfect for walking to all restaurants and venues. Duck pin bowling at Hotel was an added plus it was so much fun.

The Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids was a great hotel overall. The property is beautiful, the location is excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is the price. For what I paid, I was expecting a little more from the room and overall experience. It definitely feels like you’re paying a premium for the historic property and downtown location. Other than that, the service and hotel itself were great, and I had a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend it—just be prepared for the price.

Expensive at $450 a night. Valet car park was $49/self park was $45. TV was intermittent and the Google cast was offered, but didn’t work. The hotel was under construction and that was not noted.

Make sure you ask for a newer room my biggest mistake was not knowing. They still charged me the same for the older room and it was no where near as nice as the newer ones

Just outdated hotel

We didn’t eat breakfast there. Was it included with the room? If so we were not told that was the case. Hilton rewards is confusing and I was told I was getting rewards for staying but it doesn’t look like I received any!

Beautiful facilities No place in bathroom to put vanities etc. Need more counter space around sink. Also walls are pretty thin. Can hear convo in room next door pretty easil

Room had a musty smell.. smelled like room had been smoked in, in the past

Our room was in the old part of the hotel. The bathroom door would not close and the room had a smoke smell to it. I would request a room in the newer part of the hotel next time.

No bath mat no face towels no tissues. Elevator noise throughout the night. Asked for bellhop assistance he never came.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and service

The amway Hotel Downtown Grand Rapids,MI was really nice,nice rooms with a refrigerator,but (NO MICROWAVE)nice and big indoor pool and hot tub,decent size gym next to the pool on the 4th floor in the glass tower.however everything is very expensive.they have tons of shops and restaurants inside the hotel.great customer service,housekeeping was great!Valet service is $49.00,but it was worth it,valet guys are hard working crew,(they all share the tips)or $45.00 do it yourself in a garage.
