Canopy has really gone downhill. The lack of attention to detail was very apparent on this visit. The room wasn’t stocked with coffee, cream and variety of sweeteners as usual. When I called the front desk about it, the lady said it’s not typically stocked until the next day. Totally false! When rooms are cleaned, they are also stocked. We also ran out of bath tissue and Kleenex in the room. A roll of trash bags was left in the room by housekeeping . My left over coffee was poured in the toilet by housekeeping and left there. The floors weren’t cleaned. Housekeeping didn’t arrive until about 4 pm. I’ll use my hard earned money on a different hotel next time.

The room was very comfy.

Such a great and clean hotel. Conveniently located down the street from the new amphitheater. Staff is always friendly and welcoming! Parking is in a garage around the block. I’m busy nights valet parking hasn’t been available but it’s an easy walk to the garage.

Great location in the city. Well appointed room in a loft style. Enjoyed drinks on the rooftop.

This was very close to the concert venue we attended. It is in a dilapidated part of town, but the hotel itself is quite nice.

Definitely the place to stay if you are seeing a concert at the amphitheater. A few blocks walk, couldn't have been easier.

Homeless people outside in valet yelling for food and money and were very aggressive! We got hit up 5 times within the first 10 minutes during daylight then after dark it got worse hotel has Zero security! Shady area not safe to be walking around much less getting your car out of the valet. Never again

I only asked for more pillows, but the bedding was so comfortable we slept past time to get up! Within convenient walking distance to VanAndel Arena and the Acrisure Amphitheater. The Downtown Market is just down the street.

Great mid modern vibe and in the center of town by all the action and walking distance to so many great stores, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The things that were a bit disappointing were self-parking was very confusing upon arrival and no directions were provided in the confirmation email. There was no on street temporary parking, and yet you had to check in first to get the pass to use the self-parking. Also there is no refrigerator in the rooms, and ice machine was not on every floor. Overall a good experience/stay, but for the price these things would have made it more convenient.

The Knoop at the rooftop lounge was SUPER unfriendly and negligent to serving us. The bar turned us away and stopped a family member for no reason. Bartenders were overwhelmed and drinks took forever to receive and it wasn’t even that busy. I’ve been in the F &B business for over 40 years and this experience was awful. I get there is an elegance to being up there and no large groups standing. We were in a back tucked area 8 of us and no one ever came to ask us if we wanted another drink or cleaned up. Next night, even tho they close at midnight, the doors to enter close earlier. WHAT? On a good note the appetizers are phenomenal. Would I stay here again? NO would I visit the Knoop ? NO STAFF WAS EXTREMELY RUDE TO OUR GROUP 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW. APPS WERE EXCELLENT. JUST NEED MORE AND BETTER SERVICE!!!

My only issue is you have to go to the 5th floor for ice. If you are planning to go to a weekend concert at Acrisure Amphitheatre this is the place to stay. Lots of things to do that are walking distance including Acrisure. it's a 5–10-minute walk, completely AWSEOME. We saw Brandi Carlile and this place was great to walk back to.

Updated. Close to the concert venue we were in town for Valet parked ( additional 40.00 charge) on top of the 270.00 room, except no valet available the next morning. The front desk attendant was the only employee. She gave us our keys and we were left to wander around the parking garage hitting our key fob trying to find our vehicle. Very disappointed

A/C was also out in the workout room as they were waiting on a part. Sadly, our room was never refreshed during our 3 night stay. Advised the front desk. They admitted it's been a challenge and apologized. Very kind but would've been nice to not have to call down for fresh towels after two days. :)
