Hampton Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Downtown

Parking was a bit confusing, but the staff was super helpful! Breakfast was delicious! Room was super clean!

Clean, convenient to health appointments, good breakfast. Shower gel was empty, had to wash with shampoo.

The location was within walking distance to downtown and lots of places to eat. The keycards did not work as expected. We were supposed to be able to use them to enter and exit the parking garage and that did not work. The breakfast wasn’t the best. The tv remote was garbage. The room could have been cleaner. There were hairs found in overlooked areas. The layout of the room was odd. I didn’t care for the desk in the middle of the room. The stairwells smelled and there was no clear exit from the hotel; we used the parking garage to walk out.

Very clean and tidy rooms, good linens and beds, staff was helpful for putting on a football game for us to enjoy in the breakfast area. I would go to that location again.

The room was big, but I thought they had indicated it was two rooms, but it was just too large bed side-by-side Very strange layout there’s no pedestrian facing entrance. You have to walk through parking garage is on either side to enter the property. Water was not sufficiently hot for showers and as indicated the room was not two separate bedrooms, but just too big bed side-by-side.

Friendly staff. Computers were down, so rooms wouldn't lock or unlock. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and handled the situation well. Computers not working, but that wasn't anyones fault. Stuff happens.

This was the perfect, reasonably priced location with reasonable parking costs to visit Art Fair; then later drive the next day to Meijer gardens.

Easy check-in. Breakfast was different every day. There's no drive up to the front door to check in as the hotel is above the parking garage, which you need your room key to access in and out. So you need to park the car across the street, go up the elevator, check in, then go back and re-park your car in the parking garage. Those directions should be noted when you make your reservation. It was confusing and rather inconvenient. Otherwise, the room was spacious, large bathroom. A bit out of the way if you're going to ArtPrize, though.

Could use some work on the rooms. Our TV was facing a wall and was at an odd angle to watch on the couch or the bed. The mattress was turned the wrong way, which made it shorter than the box underneath. My feet hung over several times during the night. The shower had a little rust/grim in the corners. The location was great though and I think , that is what we paid for,
