Holiday Inn Harrisburg - Hershey Area, I-81 by IHG

The property is being renovated which is nice to see that the property is being maintained. There is currently no bathroom in the indoor pool area. Overall good stay for price paid. Room was clean. Outdoor pool was closed. Exercise room had strong odor of rubber mats. And the door is broken and needs the glass replaced. If the gym amenities are important to you then I would not stay here. Froad (I hope I spelled his name correctly) was very helpful at check in the other male attendant was rather abrasive and lacking genuine courtesy. Breakfast was extra charge but decent buffet and not that expensive.

3 bugs in the bathroom in morning, rugs smell, front staff could be more helpful. Not your typical Holiday Inn Express..disappointed and won't stay there again.

The carpet in the room was very old and peeling up off the floor. Pieces of the stairs were breaking off. We did not use any of the amenities. The overall structure was dilapidated. The manager was also not trustworthy. He lied multiple times about not charging me a fee; reassured me that he would take care of it, and never did. So many hotels are offering continental breakfast and this one does not. I would not recommend staying here.

I love the saloon

Cameron was excellent at the front desk when we first checked in and helpful throughout our stay. The people in the lounge were great. The restaurant service was good. It was breakfast that I had and they kept checking on me to make sure if I needed anything else all the hotel staff was friendly and ready to service to our needs.

We arrived to our room already occupied by a man laying in the bed. We are very lucky he didn't act under the assumption we were breaking into his room and attempt to defend himself. The only available room left was a single bed room, and we ordered two queens. Truly awful experience.

Did not visit bar. We did go in but wasn't our scene. No foul there. The menu at breakfast was ok. However, it felt very much hotel breakfast.

Nothing luxurious, but all the basics… We had a safe clean, comfortable stay.

The Winners Circle Bar on site is amazing! We got there late and was told thry serve food until 10. It was 9:58 and the bar maid said she would walk back and put our order in! Everyone was so pleasant and happy to be there!

Such a great hotel. Clean and mostly modern. Free shuttle to Penn National and the hotel bar had a great band and line dancing. Beds comfy as well.
