Super 8 by Wyndham Grapevine/DFW Airport Northwest

This aged property is conveniently located and well-priced. The building is 30+ years old, and shows its age in some respects, but there is evidence of some renewal and refreshing of rooms and public areas. Staff was friendly and helpful. The new swimming pool looked absolutely divine, especially in the blazing Texas heat, but sadly it was off limits because it had not yet been inspected by local code enforcement authorities. So with the fence locked, all we could do was look at it longingly and sigh. Maybe next time. If you want a hotel that is well priced and adequate without all the frills, this place is good.

Convince to DFW airport Little outdated furniture and rug in hallway

There was no air-conditioning in the hallways or the elevator and in Texas it’s needed I firmly believe they had regulators on the air conditioners in the room because I could never get my room cool.

had to wait for 2 days to get a new battery for the door. the management open my with a key to let me in... and the shuttle only ran a few hours out of the whole day. had to use an uber to get around i.e. like to go the store or to the convention center..

Clean quiet rooms. Friendly staff. Great location

I only stayed one night for layover, so arrived after shuttle service had ended. The bed was uncomfortable, but I was able to have the breakfast and get the morning shuttle back to DFW. I chose to stay elsewhere on my return layover, but it was not terrible.

The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. Originally, we were put in a room that was a non-smoking room, but people had definitely smoked in it.

This is an older Super 8 that needs some updating. The bed was nice and comfortable with easy check-in and good location. It was a fair price for the updates needed: chair was loosing its fake leather covering, sink in bathroom was rusty around the drain.

Great staff will stay again!

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave were clean. They have a cute Texas shaped waffle iron during breakfast hours. Guest laundry facilities were very reasonable at $2.00 each for washing and drying, but you need quarters. The room smelled strongly of dampness and mold. You could see spots in the bathroom and by the AC where dark patches had been given the "landlord special" of a cheap coat of paint. You could see the dark patches through the paint on the walls near the bottom of the bathtub, bathroom ceiling, and around the window and AC unit. The breakfast was ok. The only gluten free option was yogurt.

Nothing! AC, did not work in the entire hotel elevator did not work we had to use stairs! Guy at the desk didnt seem to care!

The 3rd floor hallway did not have AC so it felt like a sauna waiting for the elevator or going to our room. We had to have our cards rekeyed 3+ times, and yes I know not to do the things that demagnetize them. I specifically booked this hotel so my kids could swim. We arrived to find the pool would be out of order for a couple weeks. That should have been disclosed before I booked nonrefundable rooms. This is the only hotel or motel I have ever stayed at that didn’t have an iron and ironing board in the room. The beds were comfortable, but they were the squeakiest beds I’ve ever experienced. I essentially got no sleep our entire stay because every time someone rolled over the bed woke up everyone in the room.

First time I stayed here I had to ask for a different room as the one assigned had a bad musty odor.
