Hyatt Place Greenville/Haywood

It was a convenient location, with ample parking. The place was not clean, and the staff on the day of arrival were not professional or helpful. The AC system didn't seem to remove moisture from the air so our room always felt damp and wet. The room was very nicely decorated, but very dirty from poor cleaning. The lighting in the bathroom was very dark. The breakfast was limited. They offered several types of breads, but no toaster. The seating for breakfast was very limited, and weird. Most of the available breakfast seating was around cocktail tables with chairs that made it difficult to eat at the table. The two elevators were in very bad shape. One had the door sensor held in place with clear packing tape. It also had a panel that was detatched and moved as though it would fall off. That panel was where the buttons were located and it appeared that the connected wiring was the only thing holding the panel in place. We were stuck in that elevator with another guest when we left our 4th floor room. The other elevator was also in very poor repair, so we used the stairs to our 4th floor room for the remainder of our stay. We departed early after one night. The assistant General manager was very professional and exceptionally nice on the morning of our departure.

Super nice staff, but the elevator was held together with packing tape during my stay. The bathroom door in our room was broken and there was also something wrong with the AC motor in our room. Super loud. Again, the staff was great, but the place needs some upkeep for sure.

Fancy place, Poor Room. One queen bed was jammed up against the window and air conditioner. This made it impossible to access either the window or the air conditioner. I paid extra to have a room that had access to a view. This was a complete waste of money as the window was completely unaccessible. That bed was crooked because of the air conditioner jutting out from the wall so that the bed was not flush with the backboard. Even though the room was quite large, the two queen beds were less then 12 inches from one another. The bathroom sink and counter was NOT private, but rather outside of the bathroom directly in front of both queen beds so that everyone in bed could see everything you were doing at the sink very clearly. The bathroom itself was incredibly tiny for such a large room. I would have expected better from this type of hotel. Everything else was clean and well thought out. But the room was a horrible waste of space. I expected better. Disappointing.

Bar and food service was unavailable and staff gave conflicting reasons as to why. Staff seemed to be doing best they could with a bad situation. Also elevator was clearly not functioning well. I noticed myself and I also had conversations with other guests who noticed. One guest even went as far as to describe there elevator experience as "getting stuck". I've been to this property several times in the past and had a great experience. This one stood out as being unexpectedly and surprisingly poor.

Really enjoyed our stay and the mattress was amazing for my back!

Second day after housekeeping: still crackers on the floor from previous guest. Bath not cleaned. No fresh towels. Walked on the floors in white socks then socks were dirty. Need to mop not just vacuum. Room was nice, decor well thought out. Staff were friendly and competent. Breakfast was great. So elevators need overhaul and housekeeping needs improvement.

Hyatt didn’t have the room that we had reserved so we ended up stuck with one bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed did not have proper bedding and when we requested it, the hotel was not equipped with enough of the bedding to supply them for us.

First off, a shout out to Andre at the front desk! He was warm and welcoming and the fresh chocolate chip cookies were a huge hit. Our stay was great , everything was top notch and the breakfast was outstanding! Highly recommend this Hyatt Hotel as a great place to stay.

Attentive staff

Breakfast was discusting. The scrambled eggs were terrible. Once the coffee was gone, that was it. No coffee in the lobby. No travel brochures available.The bar/ restaurant wasn’t open. No liquor license.

All staff members I encountered were very kind and helpful. I did feel like the common areas were kind of run down and need a good cleaning. Our room was spacious and clean overall clean, but the extra blanket and pillow bag was open and the items were dirty. The garbages out front were full the entirety of our stay, the elevators were kind of sketchy and the floors were always filthy and sticky in them. Breakfast had a nice variety but I was weary to eat because there just a feeling of uncleanliness to me. It wasn’t a terrible experience because like I said, the staff were very nice, but at this time, I wouldn’t stay here again.

I would recommend this hotel to all travelers. The room was exceptional. The staff very was very helpful. Breakfast was great also .

I loved that the room didn’t have carpet, just aa rug. That felt much cleaner. The room was clean. The fridge was good but there was no freezer part which we needed. The front desk staff & the breakfast prep staff were all extremely friendly and conversational. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Plenty of convenient parking. Thank you all so much!!
