Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Gurnee, IL

This hotel is super run down. Not the cleanest. The breakfast is the worst we’ve had and we’ve stayed at many hotels!

Checkin was very easy. The room was clean and very comfortable. No issues.

I liked that the property was close to the six flags. It was very convenient. The price was good as well. For the most part the hotel staff was friendly. There were very noticeable stains in the carpet in the hallways. The ceiling on our room also had stains. One of the pillows we had in our room was clearly more dingy looking compared to the other pillows in our room. The beds were not comfy, we could feel the springs while we slept. The room as a whole seemed okay. My biggest annoyance was we booked a room for four people for two days. However our room only had three towels. I went down to the desk to ask for more. The gentleman behind the desk was on the computer and eating, fine no big deal. I asked for more towels, he gets up to go to the back room, I could see just a pile of towel (looked dirty to me) and he looks around for a bit while also glancing at me to see if I’m watching, then says we have none clean they are in the dryer you’ll have to come back in a hour. Okay fine. We went back down multiple times after than even into the morning and no one was at the desk to assist. It was about 8:30-9 the next morning when we were finally able to get more towels.

Easy to check in and lots of breakfast choices. Last minute room changes due to facility issues with the room . My children disliked having one bed and sleeper sofa rather than two queen beds.

The hotel was ok, nothing spectacular. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and go this may work well for you. Breakfast was disappointing compared to other Country Inn and suites, felt more like a Super 8 breakfast.

The building and room were a little outdated, but clean. Also, the elevator randomly broke down while we were there. Which was not the staff’s fault, but is definitely because of a lack of maintenance.

Room was very clean... There were no towels in the bathroom...I didn't notice until I went to take a shower shortly before I left. I had arrived very late the night before and had just gone straight to bed.

The hotel was a little smaller than what I expected. Overall it was a nice stay.

As soon as you walk in the entrance was very comfy the swimming pool the bed were comfortable breakfast was decent And late check out My husband didn't like the sausage and the designated smoking area did not have anywhere to sit

Very nice property for the price. The only complaint we had was the pull out mattress was not comfortable. You could feel all the bars and springs.

Breakfast was only good if you wanted pre-packaged pastries or pancakes. Powdered egg was gritty and sausage was undercooked and no flavor. Skipped ocmpltetely.

It was very dirty, old, stained. The beds were uncomfortable. We left a day early from our vacation. The pool was unusable and unsafe.

Under newer ownership, NOT your traditional Country Inn in regards to exceptional upkeep and amenities. Pool area is falling apart everywhere. Many things needed updating in the room bathroom and they only offer cleaning service every 3rd day. Staff was nice, but I'd only stay for overnight if passing through the area. Definitely not for a extended stay.

Breakfast was okay. The room was humid. The bathroom sink was busted and there was hair stuck to the shower curtain, shower head, and coming out of the drain while shower was running. This caused the drain to not work properly.
