WoodSpring Suites Gurnee - Chicago

Some miscommunication happened between this site and the hotel that we arrived and did not have a room available for us. I guess it was a blessing in disguise because it was not very well kept up on and a lot of the guests were sketchy and loitering.

On check out day and worker knocked on our door at 9am saying he had to come in for his inspection. Very rude since we still had two hours unto checkout. Do no recommend

I booked my stay a few weeks ago through Expedia. When I arrived to check in I was informed my reservation had been cancelled. Even though I had my booking confirmation pulled up, I was informed no rooms were available. Highly disappointed.

Staff was unhelpful and rude

The room was booked but got to the location and they did not have rooms available. I prepaid And need a refund

Close to Six Flags There were 3 families waiting in the lobby for over an hour trying to check-in. There was nobody there working or answering the phone. All 3 of our families ended up leaving to either sleep in our cars or find another hotel.

Keep in mind this is an "extended stay" type of property. There are no niceties in the room including coffee and/or soaps, etc. Also, in IL weed is legal so there is an aroma of the smell all around the place (not sure if coming from rooms or just people smoking a J outside). I would not stay there again.

Hotel cancelled my booking last minute was left 500 miles away from home with no rooms or explanation…. Do not recommend booking through Expedia was left high and dry

Great location friendly staff cheap prices Found random hairs in both rooms and there was a sticky spot by one of the beds that wasn't cleaned properly so overall the cleanliness

When we arrived to check in, the agent said that the booking was cancelled. Also had to wait 10 minutes for check-in agent to show up.

I didnt stay there because they canceled my reservations without notice. That's they canceled and didnt notify me at all about it. I found this out when I was trying to check in.

Location Room was dirty. No shower curtain. It was like a half way house. People hanging outside smoking and drinking. Only seen the front desk lady at check in and they no workers to be found.

Bed was uncomfortable staff was rude , toliet clogged, no breakfast or coffee, doors were broken had to walk to back door to get inside.

No internet no dishes or cookware

Some the sheets were stained

They didn't offer any recommendations of any sort to rectify the situation. I was at 6 flags when they called. They couldn't even hold our bags until check in while we went to the park. Nothing!

The hotel staff is very friendly and able to help me through my process during the time the hotel was very cleanliness. However, the van at the front desk was exceptionally good and deserves a raise. It wasn’t very kindly. I did hear talk about roaches. I don’t wanna talk bad about any property however it wouldn’t be somewhere where my wife wanted to stay.
