avid hotel Hattiesburg West by IHG

Exceptional

Overall good experience. Staff wasn’t very helpful or hospitable, but hotel was clean.

Management responsive, not as clean as expected.

All Good

Great stay

Pleasant

The location of the hotel is perfect. Just a few minutes from the USM campus. The front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming. Had me checked promptly. The lobby and elevator were very clean and had a nice smell. After a long day in the heat, it was so nice to enter a clean and cool room with a modern style to unwind. I was able to take a hot shower and retire for the night in a very comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning was great! There was a variety of food to choose from. The kitchen staff was friendly and kept the breakfast items replenished, as needed. This was my first time staying at Avid. I've always used the hotel across the street. You both were full due to USM's first game of the season and it was also Labor Day weekend. You must've had a last-minute cancellation and I was able to grab it and I'm so glad I did! 😊 Avid has definitely gained a new fan and will be seeing more of me this football season!!! Thank you for making my stay worthwhile!!!

There was used kleenex under the counter in the bathroom! The USB ports on the table between the beds did not work at all. The area did not make me feel safe at all. I arrived late at night and was shocked at the area I was in when I woke up in the morning. If you are a female traveling alone, I would suggest staying somewhere else. Would not stay here again! I choose this hotel based on the star rating and I think a lot of them were falsified.

Very clean, updated, and in a great location. Staff were super friendly and breakfast was super organized.

I always enjoy my stay!!!!!

Friendly staff, super clean rooms, lobby, breakfast area was constantly being cleaned & restocked. Excellent hot breakfast with lots of choices.

Our room was clean, everything, except the phone, worked and was in good condition. Bed and pillows were comfortable. AC worked, water was hot. Great for a2 night stay. I didn't give 5 stars because of what sounded like a party on our floor or above, and ran to at least 3am. The phone being broken was an obstacle to call down and report it. I could have used my phone but it was charging and I was trying to stay in a half sleep state so that I could hopefully go back to sleep. These things wouldn't prevent me from staying there again.

No comfortable seating, you could hear the kids next door and above. The scent in the halls were strong. No seating in room

Very clean nice staff

A very modern and new hotel. The room was excellent and very well designed. I especially liked the black-out curtain.

Breakfast was great. We ejoyed our stay.

We arrived around 9:30pm with two exhausted kids after a ball tournament to be told they didn’t code our room correctly

New and comfortable. Great breakfast
