The hotel is new and the staff were super nice and helpful. Breakfast french toast was great. Grounds are nicely kept, though just back up against a hillside. My primary issues were the following: 1) room was quite small and dark, and our end unit abutted a berm and a parking lot; And, the hotel is part of a larger complex of condos alongside the main road -- not exactly a special and wonderful location like the Montage next door (which is almost twice the price). 2) egregiously high $60/day "resort fee" for absolutely zero value -- we were only there for 2 nights and didn't even use the pool, gym, etc. And these amenities are part of why you visit in the first place! Not to pay $400 and then another $60 in fees just so they can list the "lead pricing" when booking. When you pay that high a resort fee you damn well better get amazing value in return. 3) Door are not weighted properly and slam loudly when closing, waking you up at night when other rooms nearby enter or leave; 4) hotel staff seemed unable to deal with a gift certificate we had with them, and didn't incorporate it properly either when I made the booking or when checking in -- so ultimately my card was still charged the full amount, which they then are needing to unwind. Very nice about, no complaints about the staff at all, just seems like the hotel doesn't have all their systems in place, and the resort fee and poor value mean we won't be returning.

After that, everything was smooth sailing. The property is beautiful, the location is great, and the restaurant was very good. We really appreciated how quickly the staff handled the problem and made the rest of our stay much more enjoyable.

We brought our dog and they gave us dog bowls, poop bags, treats, and even asked if we needed a dog bed. Our dog loved his stay too! The hotel greeting is amazing. They greet you with a bite from the chef and offer a complementary glass of wine. The staff also offered local recommendations and were kind. We booked a dinner with the restaurant and the food was good but the attention to detail was off - had to send a steak back which took long and we couldn’t enjoy our meal together as a couple.

The hotel was new, modern and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was warm, welcoming and very accommodating. They have a lovely pool area that was clean and quiet. I love that they are very pet friendly and provided amenities for our fur baby. Would love to come back and visit.

Excellent stay. We were there for a night, enjoyed the breakfast and gym. It would be great if they had Peloton bike. Beautiful property

Really relaxing. They supply a town car to get downtown. Two pools, neither of which were loud or overcrowded. The property is worth a visit The hotel is new and very much still working out things. Not sure if management is also new, but it seems like they are lacking. First, the check in experience is uncomfortable. It’s like they designed a restaurant and then forgot they need a front desk for the hotel. It’s cramped, looks makeshift, and you feel bad for the staff and how they have to hunch over these little lap tops. When I checked out I asked if it was an intentional setup and they said yes, and that it’s meant to feel like you’re “walking into a kitchen” - well yeah. It does. But that’s not what you want when you’re checking into a hotel. Second, cleaning staff really dropping the ball. One of our rooms had a dirty bathrobe left in it from the past guest and then when we returned from dinner we found a cleaning cloth and used glove. Third, for a place that’s supposed to be “food forward,” the food leaves much to be desired. Couldn’t even get my breakfast bacon right, it was so over cooked it was inedible. Tasted like it was cooked to be turned into a crumble and it was definitely not cooked to order because there wasn’t enough time that passed between me placing my order and my food getting delivered for bacon to have gotten that overcooked. The other items we had were also mediocre to the point we canceled our dinner reservation and chose to eat downtown. Our last night there were two weddings on site, one quaint (20 people?) and another huge one. The restaurant only had one bartender for the small wedding and the rest of the wedding and it took like 20 minutes to get a glass of wine.

Absolutely fantastic property!

I had specifically mentioned to the ‘front desk’ about a month ago that we were there to celebrate my husband’s 60th bday & was told there will be something special included in the 2 rooms we had booked. Nothing special/any gift etc was included when we came in. Additionally I even reminded the lady at reception on June 6 whether they meant to include anything since that’s what I had been told earlier & she implied it would be done but again nothing was done. Only because this was my husband’s 60th I am definitely disappointed with management. They did not have to include anything at all but if they commit to something I feel it should have been followed through. Joshi

The price point doesn’t match the experience. They are located right next to the freeway next to a large retirement community. Most of the rooms look in on each other and feel packed in. There is not elevator and not bell hop. The “serenity pool” is surrounded by the fitness room and the cement block walls with rooms all around. The gathering space in the center is nice and the family pool at least has a hillside with an olive grove as long as you aren’t looking at the side where you see the freeway. The rooms are small but well appointed. Everything is new and the aesthetic is nice.

My new favorite hotel in Healdsburg

We arrived and check in was great. Shortly after we went to dinner. It took longer to get a bottle of wine than our appetizers and when they appetizers arrived we still did not have cutlery. Service was friendly but undertrained for the price point being charged. Sommelier was fantastic and friendly! Waitstaff was friendly but inattentive even on a very quiet evening. Breakfast was good but egg orders were wrong and items left sitting in the kitchen. Unfortunate that lack of training leaves the restaurant lacking. Food was great. Room was nice until we looked for a dropped item under the bed and found food left from a previous guest. Housekeeping came after 5pm and work was going on in a room next door until around 9pm. When the room was cleaned a pillow case was placed on the bed with what appeared to be a large chocolate stain on it! Not what we would expect from a hotel of this price point. I’d rather pay more and get the quality or pay less and get what this hotel is currently delivering.

Very comfortable and well appointed rooms, excellent towels, bedding and pillows. Fabulous pool areas, gardens, bocce, gym and spa. The public spaces are beautiful and very well maintained. The artist in residence program and frequent workshops on various topics are a lovely idea- hope to enjoy some on my next trip! We liked everything very much. Chef Palmer and his team are doing an amazing job.
