Bella Villa Messina

The staff and room were both inviting and lovely. Our room got too hot in the middle of the night and we couldn't sleep.

Very lovely building in a beautiful setting. The room was cozy, and the innkeeper was so friendly and welcoming. Just a short drive from downtown Healdsburg.

Bella Villa Messina is a beautiful property with beautiful views, comfortable rooms and a variety of facilities (pool, hot tub, patio, piano) located a few minutes outside of the center of Healdsburg with easy access to vineyards, active sports (biking, kayaking, hiking) and fine dining. The light breakfast was a great way to start the day and it was a quiet low key place to return to in the evening, close enough to downtown to make the trip in for dinner a quick one.

Close to downtown So many rules. Never met a staff person . Halls dark at night dangerous walking up stairs. All furniture was old and dated . Bathtub inside shower but no faucet to take bath . Pool not useable. No welcome drink or snacks . Told staff person I had to leave earlier then breakfast was offered and the person made no effort to get me something earlier or give me a to go bag . Felt like they just wanted to get my money . Also tried to hard sell tours etc before arrival . No TV stations to watch. Could only stream Netflix etc if you can remember your log in. Quiet hours so early - 9pm on a Saturday really? It was uncomfortable and not welcoming to stay here . Then the host messaged me asking for a 5 star review. Maybe learn how to be truly hospitable to earn that type of review?

Very accommodating and super comfortable beds! Slept the best sleep in weeks! The breakfast was delicious! We would definitely stay again! Nothing, we loved everything!

The furnishings and bathroom fixtures were dated - some modernization is in order.

I booked not really knowing the type of place it is. it is a beautiful place!!!! wow! it is a B and B type. all seperate beautiful rooms. a common area kitchen that had welcome wine! nice community breakfast. met 2 othe couples. very beautiful views and gardens. quiet! I was late checking in after a very long day of packing. tired hungry.... larger entrance signage and instructions when I figured out how to get it would be helpful for first timers. I host's answered the phone, but could be nice to greet and show new guests.... it was Jan. we had a beautiful fireplace. however the bathroom was very very cold. all in all I would recommend. very nice!!!

Oh, this is so much more than just a hotel. As I arrived, I was met by Tisha and Zoe (the dog!) with a warm welcome and a glass of wine. My room was quite lovely, not your usual chain-hotel room, but more like an English country house. My room had gorgeous views and was quiet and clean. It’s easy to get a taxi into Healdsburg where there are lovely shops and a great array of nice restaurants. It was ten minutes drive back to the hotel where I was met with a goodnight glass of wine and chat with other guests. The weather was a bit grey, so I didn’t get a chance to use the pool. But I enjoyed great hikes nearby in Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve and Jack London State Historic Park. I felt sad to leave, it is such a warm and friendly place to stay. More like visiting friends or family than staying in a hotel. Five stars all round! Thank you to the Bella Villa Messina team!

Beautiful, clean property. Tesia was a great host and kindly set up an amazing breakfast for us outside. Would absolutely recommend this place to others.

Loved the secluded, hilltop location just a short drive from downtown Healdsburg. Enjoyed the fantastic views and private pool and hot tub. Maybe we just missed this when booking, but we didn’t realize that this was a true bed and breakfast and were pleasantly surprised that a full prepared breakfast was included. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would have preferred small fridge in room rather than a shared fridge in the kitchen.

Lovely hilltop property. Good food. Fantastic center and staff.

We enjoyed using the outdoor hot tub for a dip prior to going to bed. We stayed in the Asti Room which was large and comfortable. Felt like royalty in the four poster raised bed (I had never stayed in a bed so high that had steps to each side). Nice selection for breakfast (selected from items the night before so they could serve our choice at time of our desire). It was enjoyable to chat with other people staying there while we were lounging outside on the patio. It took us a bit to figure out how to light up the area to the outside pool and hot tub, but once we did, all was good. No complaints.

Friendly innkeeper, tasty breakfast, beautiful outdoor space to relax in the evening, and eclectic taste in decor! Room was spacious and comfortable, with a great tub for soaking and incredible views (bedroom and shared spaces). It wasn't very clear to me that this would be more of a bed and breakfast than a boutique hotel, but my wife and I enjoy that sort of thing so it worked out really well.

Beautiful view. Nice room. Staff was great Parking was a little tricky. Property was a bit out of the way
