Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Helena North

The complimentary breakfast was another major disappointment. Both mornings, many of the breakfast items had run out and were never restocked. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because breakfast was included, yet I wasn’t able to enjoy it either day. Overall, the rude treatment from the front desk staff combined with the lack of basic service made for a very disappointing stay. I would not choose this hotel again.

Nice hotel for the price. Cleaning of the rooms could be improved. We found dirty underwear in our room that did not belong to us along with other trash and food debris that was missed by the cleaning staff. The shower had pink mold in the bottom of it. Breakfast was nice. The pool area needs attention because when the pool deck surface got wet it was extremely slippery even when walking slowly.

The stay was excellent. My biggest concern was the slippery pool deck. Staff admitted the deck had recently been resurfaced, but each of my children fell and fell hard when we were at the pool. There were only two mats connecting the pool and the hot tub and no other ways to mitigate falls. It was very unsafe.

The property was run down. It looked like normal or regular maintenance was deferred. Metal railings in the elevator were loose and falling off the elevator walls. Chunks of the laminate walls in the elevator had broken off exposing the backing behind the laminate. Shower and bathroom fixtures were loose. Shower floor was dangerously slippery when wet. TV’s in the room … one didn’t work at all. The other TV would not allow streaming channels (i.e. YouTube) to load and when questioned about it, the front guest staff admitted THAT MANAGEMENT HAD NOT PAID the monthly bill that would have allowed for streaming service at the property!! Nothing really. I would never book this property again.

The streaming service was not working. The front desk gal checked on other rooms to see if streaming was working, but none of them worked for streaming. It never got.fixed while we were there.

Dishonest organization, and management doesn’t keep their word. Nothing. Event got cancelled and I made multiple phone calls, got multiple promises for a refund and they screwed me for 1100 bucks. Management should be replaced. Businesses especially should be honest and keep their word.

Staff was so professional and polite, very easy to work with. The air conditioner seemed like it had a hard time keeping the room cool enough to be comfortable.

The property was clean Hearing/cooling system in our room didn’t work. Had to change rooms. Lighting in new room was dim.

Some things were nicely kept and some were not. Mold in the shower on the silicone edges no extra pillows or blankets. TV guide was very confusing. Breakfast cheaply made and no flavored creamer for coffee. Bacon wasn’t really bacon. More like slivers of fat. Water was $8 to purchase there or walk down the road to a convenience store for a better deal. Sketchy neighborhood if you needed to walk in the evening. Lots of deals going on behind buildings. Check in and out was seamless as long as you didn’t need to go to the front desk for anything. Then they wanted you to fill out paperwork. Weird.

The shade would not function. The ceiling tiles were pulled back and 3 of them open. We tried to cool the room off and it was on air conditioning and set it 65 and it didn't get any cooler than 75. The bed was lumpy. Hard in spots and soft in areas. I was supposed to have king with sleeper sofa. No sofa! No information given at check-in.

Front desk was very kind and accommodating! Nope!
