Hotel Hermosa

Although the hotel was renovated, you could tell it was outdated. I feel like they spend more on the “lounge area” than anything else. The pool was tiny and packed everytime we tried to go. Also, our shower drain wouldn’t drain so taking a shower was a hassle. Honestly, everything was fine, I just wouldn’t rebook here if I were to come back.

We have stayed at Hotel Hermosa and usually enjoy the rooms, service, and amenities. This time, we were told that the yoga room previously designated for guests to work out was “never there” when it definitely was. A fitness room with even minimal equipment (weights, mat, etc) would really elevate this place. Finally, the last couple times we stayed, the hotel was under renovation and those renovations on the courtyard, etc look really nice. Minimal food/drink options on site, but plenty of restaurants and stores nearby.

View was amazing. Could see ocean from room. Nice smaller size hotel. Comfortable beds. Good size room. Quiet. Amazing location. Walk to beach and main area of Hermosa Beach. Convenient to LAX. Chairs on the balcony would have been nice but unfortunately there weren’t any. Overall a great stay.

Everything was wonderful but I'm handicapped and the toilet was very difficult to get off of.

At the price point of $150 a night I would say this hotel is fantastic. We happened to stay during a surge time where it was more like $350 and that feels like a bit much for a place like this.

Katie at the front desk was exceptional in her assistant to me and provided excellent service! Everyone was kind and inviting. It was an absolute pleasure staying at this property. I plan on bringing my family here for a weekend. I do wish the property was a beach front however, I understand the location.

Beautiful, cozy hotel. Great views. Had a room overlooking the ocean. Comfy bed and sheets. I liked the fire pit and outdoor space

The king tub room was nice however the instructions were not very clear on how to use it. Rooms were nice and the lobby too.

The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. We weren’t pleased that there was a charge for parking! The hot tub was great and nice and warm.

The shared spaces (lobby, patio, coffee bar) was beautifully decorated. Our room had been partially updated but had an old air conditioning unit that had a “clean filter” message on it (fortunately we didn’t need to use it). There was a broken blind and the floor plan was not ideal. The bedroom was up a narrow spiral staircase on its own so it made it difficult to get luggage upstairs and challenging to navigate in the dark to get to the bathroom (downstairs). This is partially on us as we did the bid upgrade and did not realize that the bedroom was not on the same floor. Other than that, things were clean and pleasant and we would stay again and make a better selection on the floor plan.

Unfortunately the city /street view rooms are very loud with traffic and frequent bus stops in front of the building. Otherwise a pretty good place to stay.

The room was clean. The whole vibe of the hotel is boutique/fun. Lots of fun things to do in your free time. It is located very close to the beach and only 15 min from the Airport depending on time of day. Lots of parking with elevator from parking to room area. Nice little cafe for early morning coffee and snacks. Pool and hot tub were fun in the afternoons. Our go-to hotel in the Redondo/Hermosa area.

The hotel staff repeatedly told us that three adults sharing a king bed was acceptable. We strongly disagree. If a room is marketed and sold for three adults, it should provide sleeping arrangements for three adults. The hotel was fully booked. The only alternative offered was a different room for one night, but the next morning we would have been required to move back into the original one-bed room. That did not solve the problem; it only delayed it by one night. Ultimately, the third adult in our party kept the room because other family members were staying at the hotel. The two of us then had to find another hotel at the last minute. Because Los Angeles was packed for the World Cup, we ended up paying significantly more than planned for alternate accommodations. The most frustrating part was the lack of understanding or meaningful assistance from hotel staff. Expedia should not market a room as accommodating three adults when it contains only one bed and no additional sleeping arrangements. This situation caused major disruption, stress, and unexpected expense. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

I lost precious Items you have confirmed to have found and I sent you credit card details for you to ship them to me. I have'nt been able to get a reply from you since many weeks or any info. Exceeded my expectations!

Love this site but would have loved a coffee maker in the room instead of having to purchase more expensive brew from the lobby.
