Comfort Inn Hoffman Estates - Schaumburg

On our floor 2nd level it smelled unpleasant. The ice machine wasn’t working on the first and second floor and you had to go to 3rd floor. Would not stay there again.

I do not expect a five star Breakfast as it is not a luxury hotel but the waffles were the only edible thing, in my opinion. The rooms were fine, but the ceiling were squishy. Staff was fine. There was also a $150 incidental fee at the time of check in i was not aware of. The photos and the higher reviews made this place seem like a worthwhile stay. Unfortunately, I was not impressed.

Needed a place to stay one night and found this hotel which was close to a variety of restaurants and close to highway we were on. We actually arrived early and our room was not ready. They accommodated us by moving our reservation to another room which was ready and we waited maybe 10 minutes. Very friendly person at check in or front desk. Clean and had a warm breakfast with scrambled eggs, waffles, etc. would stay again if in the area.

Keys kept deactivating (every day) despite my keeping them apart from anything potentially magnetic, phone, wallet etc). Breakfast selection was poor and a hand written note on the wall told me I couldn't take it to my room to eat. Everything paper and plastic. Just generally, blah. Won't go back.

Great location, a dated facility with limited services. Ice machine was broken, no service to change out sheets or take out trash. Parking is limited in the front and desiel trucks tend take the backside of the lot, can hear occupants when walking by their doors but not when you’re in their room, but location just off the freeway with a lot of great restaurants located nearby

The room was more excellent for an older hotel. The only thing that was a negative was on the first night the second floor hallway had an odor that made you think someone was smoking something. However each night, the small food less pungent. Also, the second floor ice machine was not working. Outside of those issues it was a very nice start.

Location Tried to change my credit card on file several times and was told different things by multiple staff. Did not get this resolved. Wifi kicked you out early the morning of checkout making it difficult to navigate GPS or looking up our next location

Convenient location with a pleasant, helpful staff. We attend events at NOW Arena and this hotel is our go-to for a reliable, comfortable stay.

I didn’t. It smelled like cigarettes smoke in the hallway and in the room so I couldn’t stay because of my asthma. The front desk guy told me that “that’s not true, there’s no smoke”. He was really rude and I guess didn’t believe me or my asthma so we left immediately and did not actually stay…

The place is clean. However, they charge you $150 when checking in as a security deposit!! This can be paid in cash and refunded at check out or if you pay by card it takes up to 5 days to be refunded! This is very inconvenient.

Front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming. Location was good and close to everything we needed! There is mold in the bathroom and you can smell it when walking into the room. There was also a old dirty used washcloth in the closet on the hanger. The outlet by the sink was also covered in corrosion.

I liked the location I did not like the fact that it was a non-smoking facility but it definitely smelled like an old smoke box. Now also did not like the old shower. It was not clean. I cleaned it myself.
