Hyatt Place Chicago/Hoffman Estates

Loved the very spacious room, dark black-out curtains and shower. Loved the extra sink and countertop. Good cooling system. Didn't like the absence of a microwave and hairdryer, 2 necessities. Probably won't stay here again.

My only complaints by was the TV above the bar did not carry the local Fox game of the Bears. Only station will signal issues

Swimming Pool, Great Customer Service, & Cleanliness Small Bathrooms

Rooms are getting dated and worn, many TV channels didn't work or looked fuzzy, stains on couch, shower head sprayed poorly. The biggest issue was the elevator (car 1) where the door got stuck on floor 3. It went up to 5 and opened but that kind of thing makes me nervous. The inspection showed 2021 and they seemed pretty old.

The elevator was broken most the time it was inconvenient for me especially because I had my kids and was In the 5th. Floor the rooms air conditioner wasn’t working right the pool room felt like a sauna .. I was actually disappointed I expected better

Breakfast was ok. The beds and pillows were a little hard. I thought we got a 2 queen roon, but they were only full size, so smaller than expected. The lights in the pool didnt come on automatically. We went later in the evening, and probably would have swam longer, but it was dark.

The location was great. We came to visit the mall, and this location was a short drive to and from. There are a lot of food and convenience stores nearby, which was great for everything we needed. The staff was welcoming upon arrival and check in was smooth. The size of the room was perfect. I love the separate sitting area. The pool was nice and a great temperature! Breakfast was ok. The bedding in the room wasn't clean need to wash the blankets

The breakfast experience was also disappointing. While I was already in line for the waffle station before breakfast hours ended, the waffle batter ran out. When I asked if it could be refilled, the staff refused, stating that breakfast hours were over. Since I was already in line before the closing time, I found this response unreasonable and poor customer service. Overall, the handling of my reservation and the breakfast situation significantly affected my experience. I expected better communication and service from the hotel.
