Proximity to Yamashiro restaurant and the views of Hollywood/LA are amazing! Plus the amount of space is awesome and love the mini kitchen.

The room has an amazing view of the city and mountains! Not super walkable if you have any issues with steep inclines. But seriously close to all kinds of things in LA. Music food and Hollywood walk of fame. You can see the observatory from the view out of the room! It’s beautiful at night.

Great location

I was only there for one night, but enjoyed my stay. I was pleasantly surprised , my room was upgraded and absolutely beautiful. Room was spotless and had everything you need. Hotel had a beautiful downtown view and was conveniently located to the Hollywood Bowl. I would definitely stay again when visiting the area.

I stayed 5 nights. Great location, $40 scam per night on parking. Despite the outside looking dated, the inside of the rooms are fairly modern. Cool pool right on the cliff, as deep as 12 feet, good for diving. FLAWS: 107 has bed bugs. I got bites on my back. There was lots of trash around the pool. Cigarettes, bottles, etc, looked months old and not kept up. Customer service sucked, nobody on site, nobody picks up phone. You have to text for response. I'll be disputing my stay because of the bed bug situation. DONT ACCEPT ROOM 107.

The views. The pool area views. The room views. The parking. The entrance of the property needs to be more clear. Bigger sign on the gate or something. The door and threshold to the room were damaged. Didn’t feel very safe.

Beautiful and spacious room. I loved the balcony and the view. Overall very pleased. It’s rather difficult to locate the first time, and use Google maps over Apple Maps because they work better. Additionally, I wish the pool had some kind of loungers.

Nice view of L.A. Parking was limited at times, confusing, and somewhat dangerous next to big drop-offs with no guardrail, too many crazy stairs and no elevators, both lighting fixtures on either side if the bed were broken, shower knob was stuck and very hard to turn and wobbly, saw a small roach-like bug on wall while laying on my bed, was supposed to have a room with a balcony so I texted the customer service and they said there were no other rooms available but they would be happy to credit my $35 parking fee and let me do a late checkout for Free. I agreed that that was reasonable even though the late checkout wouldn't affect me because I had to leave earlier and I still haven't gotten the $35 credit on my credit card. Now I have to text them again and ask where it is. The bathroom window was stuck open so I wasn't able to close it when I heard loud music playing nearby with a constant thumping.

Clean room with a good AC

Location. We had an important dinner meeting at Yamashiro restaurant and the hotel is situated right there. It looked run down and not like a hotel at all. The pictures of the rooms I saw online made the “hotel” rooms look really nicely decorated. It was the opposite of nicely decorated. It was more like a bare bones apartment that had just been vacated. It was difficult to find parking and to park and very difficult to walk to our room in the lower unit 110 dealing with staircases and steep terrain and lack of lighting. Room looked unwelcoming and unprepared for guests. There was terrible lighting and the sliding glass door does not even close all the way. No pictures on the wall and lots of cracks and holes. Needs extensive remodeling. Walked barefoot on the seemingly clean ‘wooden’ floors but when we checked our feet later they were black!! It truly was the most disappointing and unpleasant stay ever. A partial refund would be the least you can do.

View, natural light, size of room, king size bed, working fridge and TV, balcony, fresh air Cleanliness, lack of staff human contact, dirty/stained/scuffed up furniture, floors so dirty that after walking around barefoot in apartment, bottoms of feet black

We had a great stay!! The pictures shown online are not accurate to what the property actually looks like. The rooms could use some decor and nice touches… some wall art and throw pillows could go a long way. The property is much older looking in person. The pool area is great but there were no chairs or tables to actually sit out and enjoy it. That was disappointing as we requested early check in and paid for that specifically to enjoy the pool for the day. However the view from our city view room was spectacular and the room was very clean and the bathroom shower was clean and great. Staff was amazing and worked with us to change rooms when we got there and didn’t care for the room we were given. They even refunded me the early check in fee for the inconvenience and allowed us to look at the new room before we committed to changing to it..it was easy to communicate with them via text and calls. There was a party at Yamashiro the night we stayed and it was noisy, it didn’t bother us but something to consider if you are a sensitive sleeper. We were in the building closest to the restaurant. Overall it was a great location and experience and we would stay again. It was a good value for the price.

i enjoyed the properties restaurant and garden area! it is super zen and gorgeous! the hotel itself is comfortable and the view is super nice. spiders were coming out from the ceiling and it was a little scary but we killed em so we resolved that issue. I wish the signs to parking were more visible and clear!

The bed was comfy It was hard to get there, there's no elevators, it looks way nicer in the pictures.
-
Hotel was a short Uber ride to the Bowl to enjoy a night of Smokey Robinson! Will definitely come back to enjoy the speculation and the views 💜

We stayed in Room 203 and the upstairs neighbors made noise all day and all night. It really ruined our stay and this is one of our favorite hotels. People were also running up and down the stairs at all hours of the night.
