The Hollywood Franklin Hotel near Universal Studios

Really good location and well maintained property. The staff were really helpful and provided us with good recommendations.

Hotel has a great location and very stylish. We booked via Expedia and prepaid to ensure the total. When we got there, they had an additional charge. Parking was VALET only, $39 a night. When we arrived, there was no attendant. We parked ourselves. When we checked out, the valet attendant gave us our keys and we had to get our car ourselves. Room was cute, but there was a box air conditioning system. We stayed in a “suite” and the room never cooled down. There were minor stains on the bedding and there were long hairs all over the bathroom.

Valet parking was strange, you had to use and sometimes they would bring your car and other times they would hand you the keys and point to the area your car was in.

The room was large and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the location was excellent, right near the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, the AC was noisy and didn’t work very well, and the water pressure in the shower was quite weak.

For a 3 day stay in LA it was perfect. Room not very big but enough for the whole family.. Location was good near the HW Boulevard and public transportation.

Loved this hotel. What an amazing find in such a big city. History and Nostalgia with an excellent Diner attached. Had a great engagement checking in and checking out as well as in the parking lot with valet parking. The room was comfortable and so fun and the pool was amazing - what a great location. Will definitely return

The room was very nice and comfortable. I appreciated the microwave, the Keurig and the electric water kettle. The bathroom was my only issue. You had to step up into and down out of the shower, which could be dangerous. The water pressure was lacking and no hot water in the shower. But the sink had hot water.

We love this hotel for our family. Easy walk into Hollywood to see the sites. Amazing diner in the same building. There was lots to look at with all the decoration within the hotel and rooms. Quirky and fun! Easy walk to the metro to get to universal studios. The lift stopped at one point but the management helped us a lot with bags and could not have done enough.

Friendly staff, good location, need better shower water pressure, get stains out of carpet, had issues trying to get a working iron, A/C was tedious to deal with, valet service should have been better for what you pay for (sometimes not there, sometimes they handed you your keys and told you to get your own car).
