Close to beach The room was terrible. The window was broken, pushed out and attempted to be put back together with duck tape that failed horribly. We heard everything like we was outside with the noise. All day and all night. 2 blinds only went half down.

Dont stay here they aren’t attentive, elevators were broken, didn’t bring any towels even when requested. Overall a TERRIBLE experience!

Loved the lanai and the ice machine right out my door. Every morning was spent sitting on the lanai drinking my coffee watching the surfers and the waves crash. Amazing views.

Table on the patio was trash. The kitchenware and decor were old, cheap and mismatched. (Could get better replacements at the Dollar store or a garage sale.) Balcony only as wide as a small folding chair, so maneuvering out there was tricky.

Having a kitchen was very convenient for us. Room felt like a good size for 2. Location of hotel was very close to local activities in Wakiki. Bed was very comfy and kitchen was good size for size of room. Also provided beach towels, umbrella and mat. Shower was a good size although water was a little finicky without us touching knobs. Patio was also good size with comfy chairs for looking even though view wasn't great. The ac in our room was set to the lowest temp setting and highest fan setting and room didn't get below prob 77. Was very very hot the whole time in room. Also staff doesn't provide new towels or check on room until you check out which can go both way honestly. I also had problems checking in. My original room wasn't ready at 2:15 and they told me it would be ready by 3 but ended up transferring me rooms to be right above the bar which could be heard from our room in certain spots. Also the curtains weren't dark enough so the lights from the other side of hotel shines right in our room. Curtains were covered in dirt at bottom like never been washed and was also what looked like old blood on curtain.

It was very close to the beach. The hotel was extremely dirty and the photos looked nothing like the room. The carpets were sticky and stained, the curtains were filthy and sticky held together with hair clips, the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained with stains and things falling apart. Our coffee pot was broken and I couldn’t get a hold of them for another one the whole visit. It is absolutely worth spending a little more money for a better place. This was only slightly cheaper than other hotels and I couldn’t believe the state the room was in. Additionally, the window opened all of the way with no screen, on the 6th floor so keep in mind if you’re staying with children.

Beautiful!!!

The room had everything we needed. Very clean and the perfect size. The view was amazing!!
-
Filthy room, bed against a wall, 3 box spring mattress high, 2ft square pillar on the other side and old futon at the bottom making it extremely difficult to get into. Looked nothing like the pictures, deteriorated and broken tub fixture making difficult to use shower, no globe on ceiling fan. Didn’t look like floors had been cleaned in several months or more. Room owned by offsite person never responded to complaint. Mini fridge in poor repair, no freezer door and 2inch ice build up. Nothing like pictures and description of room. Horrible, disgusting & filthy!! Pictures & video available. False advertising

They are a private owned condos not an actual hotel. The room did not have black out curtains and faced the side that had so many lights it looked like it was day time the whole night. There was major construction that was not disclosed when you booked. The shower had poor pressure and the tv cable set up would go in and out while watching something. The staff didn’t offer any advice like where the ice machine or pool was I guess because it’s all private condos.

This is a friendly hotel. The staff was very congenial and the guests I met in the elevator were equally nice. The room I was in was a bit tired looking, but the decor was funky in a good way. It's a great location.

bad experience. Room door lock did not open. Since it is monitored remotely, I had to call many times to get solution and the end we got moved to another room after an hour being on the phone and trying to get someone to help. Second day, they shut the water service, when I complained I was told that there was a warning by front desk when I know I was not a hotel guest. Did anyone call me to give me a warning? NO. I could not shower or use kitchen. Room was outdated, several vertical curtains pieces were missing so we have no privacy in room and glass table had fingerprints marks all over. I was charged $83.10 for taxes, which I was not warned before I booked. Now when I see the breakdown it is mostly for TCL charges, basically if you do not pay you do not enter into the room. Not happy with this charge mentioning the conditions of the room.

When I contacted the manager, I was told we had been given a complimentary upgrade for a better view, and that the leak was due to the property being unable to find a contractor to replace the building’s windows. However, despite the “upgrade,” no one was able to come clean up the water or replace the wet towels until the following morning. The same was true for the clothing left in the dresser, as housekeeping was also unavailable until the next day. When housekeeping arrived around 8:00 a.m., they simply removed the clothing and did not offer to do a more thorough cleaning. They also cleaned up the wet towels and replaced them with dry ones. As for the shower, it could not be fixed, and instead of moving us to another room, we were only given access to a different room one floor above, apparently the one housekeeping was using, so we could shower there. Overall, the situation was extremely inconvenient and not what was expected.

Now for the bad, upon checking in we were told there is a cleaning fee (not included in the total price) of over 3 figures for one night. I've booked many hotels on here and never once was I charged a separate cleaning fee., let alone be held ransom at check in. No email no notice until check in (which was at midnight for us). They claim they have an agreement with hotel.com and other 3rd party vendors. If this is try shame on all of you, being deceptive and not mentioning it anywhere until check in. (Note: this was the Castle of Waikiki Grand, not the Waikiki Grand hotel.) Because of this ridiculousness I will not recommend Castle ever and because hotel.com even allows for this, I will no longer be using them.

I normally don't leave reviews but this place was not as advertised in my experience. I had to switch rooms and on top of that, viewed a vast difference in assistance when in comparison to a non-minority race.

Location is quite convenient.
-
Beware! Room not as described or shown in photos. Room description included a balcony. Instead a got a big concrete pillar in the middle of the room.

It's in front of the beach! Fantastic!
