Romer House Waikiki
About Romer House Waikiki
Nestled between the International Marketplace and the Ala Wai Canal, Romer House is a love letter to the neighborhood, and the rich artistic culture of O‘ahu. Each of the 179 hotel rooms is a tribute to Waikīkī’s Mid-Century apartment buildings, with most opening to private lanais. Downstairs, an energetic restaurant, 855-ALOHA features island-inspired dishes meant to share over long nights of drinks, while the second-floor pool club offers a relaxed, splash-zone-free, social atmosphere. Romer House Waikiki is the second iteration of the Romer brand with its sister hotel in Hell's Kitchen in New York City. Romer House joins a neighborhood that is already energized, so instead provides the calm but inviting backdrop for the guest to check in, and get out. Romer House Waikiki is committed to providing its guests and associates with a smoke free environment. Smoking tobacco, pipes, vapes, e-cigarets and marijuana is strictly prohibited within the hotel. By booking through this website, you acknowledge that the hotel has installed smoking detection sensors in its rooms. These sensors enable hotel management to respond to smoking events without disrupting your stay. You hereby agree and consent to the use of such sensor in your room and acknowledge and agree that it is 100% privacy compliant and required by the hotel to ensure a smoke-free stay for all guests. By acknowledging the foregoing, you agree to waive any future claims related to the presence of the sensor in a room you may book. Tampering with the sensor is strictly prohibited. Oversize photography by renowned surf photographer Arto Saari greets you at reception – immediately telling the story of community and Hawaiian tradition. The front desk features carved charred wood motifs – indicative of wood carving in traditional Hawaiian culture. The space is modern but approachable– a fresh take on Hawaiian, and specifically Waikiki, culture. Neighborhood cocktail bar and lounge, The Lei Stand, grows its roots in Waikīkī with fresh new digs, beloved old favorites and a celebration of Hawai‘i’s beauty and traditions through modern mixology, snackable bites and tales of aloha and flowers. The location was perfect. Staff was friendly i cal say we enjoyed our time there .the only thing was a problem they didn't have the laundry facility.
-
Great location and lovely, boutique hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Off the Main Street so less noise. The pool was small (so those with kiddos, it’s not as kid friendly as some of the bigger hotels) but perfect for this Mama who had a few nights to herself! Felt polished and refined without feeling too fancy/stuffy. Cool bar!

The shower is terrible, no flow

Location is great. It is neat and clean and very friendly staff. Not convenient for family with kids if staying for more than a day. No microwave or toaster in entire hotel. No shared washer, which is rare at any business hotels, so not a big deal.
-
Good location esp outside too. Interesting to have menu rather than continental bar type

clean room, frienly staff

Staff were amazing, very accommodating and helpful during the remainder of our stay! Breakfast was delicious, but portion sizes varied from day to day. Location is perfect! You are close to everything in the city and bus stops are a 2 minute walk making it easy and accessible to get anywhere!

Excellent location. Great value. Above basic amenities. Wonderful staff. Wonderful breakfast. Not a dislike necessarily, but inconsistent servicing. Looks like sometimes shortage of staff both at breakfast and at room cleaning. But otherwise when staffing was there, the provided superb service. Pool is rather small, but we knew that, and Ok.

Very small rooms and dark hotel corridors to get to the rooms.

Great location, less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants and stores in the area. Staff wasn’t very accommodating. I was at first told they had an upgraded room available then upon arrival room was not available. Part of hotel fees you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas for free, but you have to go to another hotel about 15 minutes away at another beach. They also ran out of towels, no microwave in the room.

The hotel location is great, with shops and bars close by. Walk to Waikiki beach is less than a 10 minute stroll. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. They were very clear on their no smoking policy which was great for us. The pool is not the largest, but there were plenty of loungers and the bar was right next to the pool. The room was large with a big bathroom and plenty of storage space. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were able to make something specific within the included costs to accommodate dietary requirements. They have gym facilities at a shared location a 10 minute walk away, along with a beach lounger rental partnership at a beach side shop which was useful. Would definitely stay again. The hotel is generally clean, but the balcony area needed a lot of attention as there was dirt on the floor and dried up ketchup and other mess from the last occupant on the balcony table. The pool area is lovely and very comfortable but the sun only hits it for a limited amount of time each day. Our room was close to the lifts and the balcony was essentially separated from the lift lobby by a banister making it very public. Tea/Coffee facilities in the room were not replenished and we had to ask. Staying for a week we needed more hangers in the wardrobe, and there was no "Do not disturb" sign in the room when other rooms had them hanging on their doors. A room information pack would have been useful too. Along with the coffee we also had to ask for more toilet roll and soap/moisturiser. Small things but for 4-Star this should have been checked daily.

Good staff. Not a far walk to beach but better price than beachfront. We got breakfast package and breakfast was served every day and excellent. Pool is tiny.

Great staff, valet parking is nice. Great for younger couples who like to party, not really good for families.

The room was great and very comfortable. The location was close to shops restaraunts and a short walk to the beach. The beach was superb and had sun loungers for hire and was well kept with no signs of rubbish being left on the sand. Only booked for 5 days when i could have stayed longer on my way to the USA for a holiday so was sad to leave.
