Tara and Tiffany at the front desk are absolutely fabulous! Very helpful, kind, and friendly. I felt very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is a perfect location for exploring Hood River and White Salmon and the areas around – great hiking nearby, great restaurants, and an experience not to be missed in the Pacific Northwest.

We ended up having to pay an amenities fee which was unexpected. It would have been nice to know about this in advance.

Food left in the fridge from the previous guest. The staff was great; they responded quickly and offered sports drinks etc at no charge, and they apologized.

Breakfast great Staff helpful n friendly The elevator lol

Parking was awful with there being only one area to park to load and unload. Was a steep street to climb and didn’t trust that anything in car was safe. The man working was very non-empathetic about it.

The location, if you don’t mind train noise Everything was great, a little dated but clean. My only criticism is not having a dressing table, only place to do hair & make up was above the sink so no where to put your hairdryer or make up. In between styling I felt the hairdryer was just hanging but I got around it by moving a chair next to the basin.

I love the nostalgia and character of this hotel. My room was very clean and surprisingly quiet.I had to leave early in the morning for a hike so unfortunately I missed the breakfast but will definitely enjoy it at my next stay. The location is excellent! I wish there was coffee in the room but they do offer a variety of treats.

It is a old hotel which adds to its appeal. But it ends there. I had a nice room with stove refrigerated microwave and nice . View was of building next door. Check in clerk acted like he was doing us a favor by having a room. Parking is $18 in lot or on street where you have to plug meter at 8:00 in morning. Never would stay here again. Best was breakfast place down street named Bette. Was told by local washing the sidewalk

The room had a great view of the Columbia River. I will stay here again. ❤️
-
A/C and fans wonderful, and the bed was amazing! Drinks, snacks & soap, etc priced in the kitchen - at very exorbitant prices! $12 for a bar of soap!

What a cool old hotel. Lots of history in this building. If you’re a light sleeper, I recommend the ear plugs because the train is super loud.
-
This hotel has a very rustic feel. There is no fridge coffee maker or microwave in the room stuff can accommodate with hot water and ice cubes.
-
There is only paid street parking or walk 6 blocks for free. Train noise all night. No full size mirror. Loud air conditioner to listen to all night. No coffee maker or fridge in room. Thought vintage would be fun, but it wasn't.
-
Toilet too low hard get up and down Not enough towels Dark in the shower need better lighting to AC hose kept falling out of window
-
Great staff and the ambiance of this restored historic hotel Our room got a little warm overnight.
-
A historic property that is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Wishing the windows had screens (to keep insects out). Towels are badly in need of replacing. Room was clean. Definitely need ear plugs if you’re sensitive to outside noise. Not likely to stay here again.

Going through Expedia was misleading regarding the parking situation. It was listed as parking available...well...not really. The hotel does NOT have parking. You must use street parking after 6:00PM -8:00AM for free or pay for street parking from 8AM-6PM with a 3 hr max. The other option is a lot that charges $18 p/day

Lovely off -season stay in Hood River. The freight train adds to the charm of the town.

Located right in town

Location, location, location! The air conditioner can only be set in a major hallway… And cannot be controlled in each individual room, which made it very difficult to have the temperature that we’d preferred in our room.
