The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The lobby and bar area was beautiful, and my room was so cute! I got a tiny room and it was just right for a solo overnight stay. Toiletries were lovely and I got to use the spa area soaking tub as well. The location is so close to everything. The only drawback was the street parking, but I was able to find a close spot each time I parked.

Great location. Easy walking to everything. The upstairs bar is only open on the weekends, (we stayed on a Monday night) but they let us take our drinks up there and the view is great. The robes in the room were very comfy. The rooms are small, but that was stated on the booking so not surprised, room was good for two people.

Perfect location right in town, walking distance to the beach and restaurants etc. Friendly staff, relaxed lounge area to hang out with your pet, and we especially enjoyed the fantastic spa: a huge hot pool and sauna included with the room. Parking is a bit annoying, as you have to find a spot and then remember to pay starting at 8am. Also, we found the dog price of $45/ night with no top amount per stay quite high for our 5 nights.

$12/day to park on the street while constantly reupping the meter app every three hours.. When I complained the next day they said I could have parked 2 blocks away t the train station. The room was VERY small. Enough for a Queen bed and about 18 inch to walk around.. that's it. The "desk" was a night stand with a foot rest for a "chair". Very poor for a traveling business person with medication requiring refrigeration. Left a day early on 2 day stay.

Great location! Love the spa and the rooftop lounge area!

Location is fantastic!! The staff were all great and super friendly! The roof top is great for a snack and a drink. The spa is very relaxing and useful, even on a short trip. It seemed like the restaurant downstairs was still opening. We did not dive deeper to truly find out and we were mostly out and about all day. Rooms are small but well designed and much more space is not needed because you’ll be outside all day anyway.

Lovely bar area and lovely decor. We really appreciated an early check in. Quite a busy location. Bedroom was quite small and was quite expensive. Parking did not come with property so checking in seemed a bit clunky.

Cool hotel, with a nice vibe and well located. Rooms were clean, the bed comfortable but not the plastic covered pillows. Morning coffee was quite good, and the spa area was excellent! Plasticy covers on all sleeping pillows made them not comfortable. Rooms are small. Neither of those are a deal breaker, but it could be better at least on the pillows

Amazing stay! Loved all the amenities and the vibe of the place

Every thing was clean, attractive and comfortable. The towels were thick and the bathrobe was very nice. My only complaint is parking. There is only street parking and during the hours that you have to pay at the parking meters you have to pay every 3 hours. You can do this with an app. I parked about 4 blocks from the hotel and later, after dinner, I was able to park only a block away.

It was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the staff very helpful At first we were assigned a room in the interior. I am a bit claustrophobic, so we asked for a change to a room facing the street. We were graciously accommodated. The room with a street view was great! … Also didn’t like having to deal with roadside parking and paying the meter.

When staying at the Lightwell, make sure to visit the rooftop terrace. Great views of the river!

The staff was so nice and helpful. Very impressed. Great location

Great location, excellent spa and bar. Gave a 4star due to only metered parking, small room with no fridge, coffee maker ect.. other than that it was an excellent stay
-
Great hotel, well decorated. Rooms are small and tight.
-
A couple of things to consider: parking is on the street so be mindful of when your time expires. Also I got the “mini” room which was small and very cozy. But tiny! So go for the larger room if you need more space.

Great location The room was very small

The recently renovated and remodeled hotel is outstanding. The spa and associated amenities in the basement are incredible.

Great location; very central. Can easily walk to prime locations, including waterfront. Lobby bar, spa, and rooftop lounge close too early (9pm!), especially on the weekends. A major draw is the rooftop which was advertised on our first visit as open late. Unfortunately, the rooftop has recently been closed to guests after 9pm due to noise complaints. This a deal breaker for some of us non-locals that like to stay up past 9pm. There must be a way to allow guests to enjoy at least the bar and rooftop experiences past 9pm without inconveniencing other guests; otherwise, the stay is not much different than other options in town.
