Red Roof Inn Plus & Suites Houston - IAH Airport SW

For the price, plus I had a dog which no charge for 1st dog! ++ room was very clean but light fixtures were broken & taped so they need some proper attention for repairs.. small little things.. no ice bucket & front desk has none.. no door hanger for privacy.. plus was pool was clean! A/C was out ar our home so we have stayed in several motel rooms this week & This Red Roof Plus was #1 of all our 3 visits...

The staff was less than caring or engaging. The place felt like a post apocalyptic ghost town. It appeared to have been nice at one point in time but is unkept and degraded over time with no upkeep. I paid but did not stay. I did not seek compensation, I just walked out and paid an additional $30 down the road at a much more comfortable, clean, and welcoming hotel. I would stay clear of this property.

location Staff was unfriendly, shower didn't work (it was cold) and the floor was sticky. When I asked if I could change rooms the staff told me no because the housekeeping had left already, so I had to shower with cold water. Then the sticky floor had no solution and the staff told me I had to turn on the AC to 60 for it not to be sticky.

Zero sound proofing between rooms. I had a family in the room next to me just talking at midnight and I could hear them as clear as if they were in the room with me.

The pool and the area around the pool. Couldn’t provide bed sheets after room service left and could barely provide us any towels. The service is bad and they don’t have breakfast.

When checking in the staff looked annoyed to check me as a guest in. Information was not passed on about having to request room turn-down service. When we asked for replacement towels, we were lead to the laundry room and told to bring down our towels and get new ones from the laundry room ourselves. When we peeled back the bedding, the bedding was dirty, soiled and had black hair on the sheets. I only hope I didn’t take home bed bugs. All in all it was a terrible experience.

Location and value. Staff could have been friendlier but we're very accomodating.

We loved the pool They didn’t have breakfast and we couldn’t make any noises in the inner pool.

For the price and my purpose of the stay, the hotel was sufficient. It's an older hotel that doesn't appear to get a lot of visitors -- only the visitors that need a place to stay with their pet, is price sensitive, and plans on only staying one night if passing through. If I were to book a location in the area again, I'd expand my search to find something better -- the extra money would be worth it.

The rooms were not clean enough, neither was the building. There were dead bugs in the pool for an entire day and we seen roaches as well as spiders in the room and the lobby. You can’t see the numbers to call on the phone or how to reach the front desk. Front desk workers were not friendly.
