Best Western Independence Kansas City

The only issue we had was the sliding/barn door to the bathroom kept coming off track. It wasn’t a huge issue so we just dealt with it. Otherwise we had no other complaints. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman at the front desk and housekeeping was attentive to our needs. The property appeared well maintained and it’s walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. I also felt safe with our vehicle parked overnight. We enjoyed our 3 night stay.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy ....my only complaint is that the bed linens and towels were extremely dingy. I asked for better towels and the front desk searched for towels that were white and not so worn. She was super understanding and helpful.

Our room had an odor to it and lots of noise all night.

I did have an issue after booking that I tried to get in touch with management and they didn’t call me back, hence the 4 stars over 5. The breakfast was also very so/so. The potatoes tasted like water in the worst way but we appreciated the waffle maker.

Kind and very helpful

Great staff! I wish I got the employees name who got us checked in and then I needed some help and he didn’t even hesitate to help with my World Cup parking. Really impressive. It’s close to shopping and a Starbucks and only about 10 minutes or so from the baseball and football stadiums so super convenient location.

Arrived late and left early, so did not have much time there. Everything was clean and nice

Our room smelled like sewer so bad. It smelled like straight poop. It was awful. Tile in bathroom was broken and the bed comforter had stains. When I went to the front desk to tell them of the awful awful smell in our room they gave me a bottle of febreeze and a room deoderizor is all. It did nothing. Awful. Would not stay here, 0/10

Nice, clean, quiet location. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Breakfast was good . The exhaust fan in the bathroom was really noisy when it was turned on. It sounded like the motor was about to give out.

The service was excellent. Rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were far beyond my expectations. The breakfast food is also very very good. Will return again in the future!

It smelled weird when we walked in, and our toilet hardly worked. It was fixed but only for a short period of time.
