Room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Breakfast was very good…only thing I would like to see is an oatmeal option. This is probably the least eaten option at breakfast but I like it. Very nice place…I only wish I were staying longer to enjoy the lovely grounds.

Very nice hotel with rustic deco charm and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and modern. Bed was comfy. Fitness room was nice and had what we needed. Pool and hot tub were nice, but could have been a tad bit cleaner. Overall, it was a great stay!

The view outside was great!

We had a wonderful weekend get-away family vacation in K.C.; this was the perfect place to stay. The location was great - within 30 minutes of all our activities, but in a beautiful setting that felt remote. We loved the lake/woods views from the spacious back patio. The lobby, bar, and breakfast areas were very nice, and big enough for even a World Cup weekend without feeling crowded. In the late afternoons, our grandkids loved the fun indoor-outdoor pool, and the hot tub was great too. We all enjoyed the breakfast, with lots of choices - eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, pancakes, cereals, muffins, fresh fruit, bagels, English muffins, juices, coffees, hot tea, yogurts, and very helpful staff replenishing everything and keeping tables cleaned off. We loved getting our “welcome” drink tokens - the bartender was great, as was the old-fashioned! Also, shout-out to Debbie and Jade at the front desk, who were both so friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were really nice too, and switched out towels for us since we took showers after swimming. We had three, double queen + sofa sleeper rooms, and they were super spacious to accommodate families with little kids. Two were adjoining, which was fun! In fact, the rooms were huge! The room had a big entry-way for luggage to be out of the way, a large sink area with countertop space on both sides, and a good-sized toilet/shower area. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Nice mattress, pillows, bedding. Loved everything! Thanks

Pool was cold, kids left unsupervised in pool area and dog on our floor would not stop barking. Checked in after 4pm abd checked out before 8. $300 for 4 hour stay. Never again.

We had a great stay with our family. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful, and the location was very convenient. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very disappointing experience. I reserved a non-smoking room with two king beds and a sofa bed, but when I checked in, the room they gave us smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Since they didn't have another room of the same type available, they moved us to a much smaller room with only one double bed and a sofa bed. This was not what I paid for or reserved, and it made our stay very uncomfortable. I expected the hotel to honor my reservation or provide an equivalent room.

Smells old

Is empty and desolate. The bar/restaurant is empty with no staff and no people. The room smell like cigarette smoke. The hotel was a shell. Very sad.
-
The staff were great but missing amenities and the towels are not the best felt like sandpaper, no amenities other than hand soap.
-
Staff was very kind and helpful upon check in. Beautiful lake/pond on the property which was great for walking my dog. Breakfast was good too and the bartender was a sweetheart as well.
-
Room was large and relaxing. Air conditioner was quiet and worked well. Staff were all very helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again.

I was traveling myself. I looked at the price on Expedia while I was in the driveway of the hotel I go in. I asked the person at the desk. How much is a room? It was like $50 higher. I told her I have the price on Expedia. She said OK reserve it on Expedia it’s gonna take about 20 minutes.then :(. How about matching the price? I’m standing there at midnight. So I wait till the Expedia goes through and go back to the desk. This time it was man the first time it was a woman. I go up to my room. It’s on the second floor. I get in bed and it’s like someone is doing gymnastics above me. That went on for most of the night. It was quiet for a little bit and then it was going on again at like 4 o’clock in the morning. I finally called downstairs. I should’ve called earlier. Lady was very kind when I called and she said I’m gonna take care of it right away. She asked me if I was sure it was above me and I said yes. Well, it kept going on so finally I just got up packed my stuff and left. I basically got maybe two hours of sleep. It was horrible. I went to the front desk before leaving and I told the lady there what had happened. She was kind. She said I went up to the room. I called them. No one answered. I explained to her how bad it was. She offered me a water? Out of the cooler. I’m thinking no credit card card or credit a portion of it. Horrible. Unbelievable I look this place up to specifically stay at it. Very disappointing.

I stayed here while traveling because my friend recommended it. I’m very glad I took her advice and decided to stop here. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Very clean and lovely. There is a beautiful pond out back. Breakfast was as good as any other hotel I’ve had breakfast at. My visit was too short! I wish I could have checked out the pool
