Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Independence

Horrible experience. Called prior to check in for pack n play and told it was notated on reservation. Once checked in, there was no pack n play and what was given had a mattress missing and not usable, ended up buying one for my baby to sleep in. The second day the air conditioning went out, was told by a staff member that multiple units were out and that all box fans were taken out. We later found out that was a complete lie and the staff on duty that afternoon the day after had no idea of the situation. It was later fixed and we were credited for one night, however there was def a disconnect from the initial complaint. The staff on duty who made it right were great to talk to, but I would never recommend this place. The floors were also wet and if you wore socks only in the room the bottoms were black after a short period.

I liked the kitchen in the rooms.

Room was large and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good lots of options.

Very good breakfast, clean room. They did not have enough pillows to the room, they said they ran out of pillows.

We got a 2 room suite. One bedroom for my husband and myself the second bedroom for my daughter and her family. We paid extra for the suite so we can hang together since we don’t see each other much. The first night we noticed that all our feet/socks were black due to the carpet being so gross. Later that night my daughter had an ant crawling on her while in bed. At first we thought they were coming from the window. The next night she pulled the covers back and the bed was covered in ants. We pulled the bed back and there was food, a pacifier, and a card. They gave them a new room but we stayed due to lack of other rooms. They did say they would fumigate but with us not having another room why would I want to stay in the room. All I asked was they clean the WHOLE suite along with pulling the bed out and clean behind it. When we got back from dinner the only thing done was the bed was remade in the room with the ants. Nothing else cleaned including behind the bed. All items including the food was still there. Was told by manager to get compensation and that was not done.

Desk staff was very kind and helpful. We didnt have any body wash in the shower and the bathroom door was hard to shut all the way. Breakfast was excellent

Sarah who check us in was nice. The room however dated was clean. We just had an horrible experience because the fire alarm in just our room randomly went off in the middle of the night. We evacuated and went to the front desk. The older gentleman who was on duty was not aware the fire alarm went off and wasn’t sure what to do. An hour later we were told we could go back but the alarm continued to go off. We were told there were no other rooms available so it was either sit in the lobby all night until the desk attendant could figure out how to turn the alarm off for good or move elsewhere. We had to pack all our belongings up while the alarms were piercing our ears and bright lights flashing and drive to the next hotel which luckily had a room. The whole thing was a mess!!! I got a refund for the night but had to pay more for the new hotel, no other compensation was even offered. The desk attendant even asked me to come check out after we packed up our things but he was on the phone and completely ignored me so I just left. They really need to update the property and retrain their staff

It’s nothing luxurious but everything is there and it’s comfortable and peaceful. It’s a great place to go if you’re going to the hospital there or to visit or to see doctors or something, it’s not expensive go on Expedia and give it a try. I’ll stay there again for sure.

We had some issues with the overall cleanliness of the room. Management was very understanding of the situation and how it was handled but I don’t think we will stay at this property again when we visit.

My favorite part of staying here was the kitchen and the grills. I travel for my job and eating out every single day is not sustainable. I always look for places with a kitchen when I have to stay on-site for a week. The pool was nice, the staff professional, the room clean. I'd stay here again without hesitation. The fact that I had to get up early for work. The bathtub was tiny.

Nothing nothing at all The whole property was terrible. The whole hotel needs to be shut down. They’re selling drug smoke weed and their prostitute not the at the hotel.

The stains on couches and floors...some furniture needs replacing
