Extended Stay America Suites Indianapolis Castleton

When arriving to check-in a little after midnight, I was informed they had no rooms left (even though I had made a reservation a week or two earlier). They had no explanation as to how that happened or suggestions on where to look for another place to stay, so we ended up driving 1.5 hours home. Very disappointing.

Stayed just to pass through town and the price. Not the cleanest place in town.

I had to be moved 2 times..... first room no linen on the bed the pillows were yellow..... second room TV and phone didn't work, I tried to call the front desk only to find out the phone doesn't work, no remote i had to go downstairs to get one then found out the TV work which means I had to go back downstairs, and got moved to another room, the shower and sink were dirty and I just cleaned them myself. Not too mention the guest that lived there all gathered together in front of the building just outside the door

Everything Nothing

The staff was nice and helpful. Cleaning could be better. Breakfast was minimal effort and could have at least added fresh fruit.

All the staff was very nice. We was staying there because 1 of our dogs (the 7 month old) had been hit by a car a few days earlier & needed to have surgery to have a leg amputated. The staff was very understanding & didn't charge is the pet fee to try to help ease the burden.

Nice staff got to check in early. The room smelled nice and clean. Room is a tad outdated but it was very quiet at night. Only issue and I’m not sure if the staff was aware forgot to let them know about the 2 baby cockroaches in the room.

Smell

Every night constant noise from the unit above me and beside me and the television was so dark that I couldn't see the screen I requested a new television and never got one. Every time I ask to speak to a manager the answer was always there's not one available.

Overall, the stay and building was great, but the room itself could have been better vacuumed and cleaned in totality.

The floor in the room was dirty, there was a random advil pill, and stick, so definitely no one vacuumed the floor after the last guest. There was a wad of hair on the shower wall so the shower was obviously not cleaned

The room was cleaned and the staff was good to be around.

Location on where I was at Dirty, the cleaning staff didn't check the microwave leftover food in it, and in freezer.. no soap to wash hands, The Complimentary breakfast was instant oatmeal and Days old English muffins, that's it, NO coffee, cereal or anything.. Tv didn't work shit place

Staff No dish in the room

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . I did find that it did not have very many outlets for being able to hook up a CPAP machine near the beds. I had to pull one of the beds away from the wall to find an outlet which was the same outlet being used by the lamps between the beds. The TV was not functional however, my purpose of the room was solely just to have a a spot to sleep after a concert and it fit that need just fine.

There was a horrible smell in the room and it was dirty, the windows were unlocked and hard to lock (we were on the first floor), the keycards didn’t work so we had to ask for help when we returned to the room

Convenient location Quiet 1. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk. We knocked on the staff breakroom door and called the front desk several times. No one answered either. It took 15 minutes for someone to show up and check us in. She was eating popcorn while doing so and said she was the only staff member on site and had been upstairs cleaning a room. 2. The hallways smelled horrible. Not sure if this was from people cooking in rooms or food delivered, but the smell was on two different floors (I walked around looking to find a bathroom when no one was at the front desk to check us in). 3. The furniture in our room #334 was worn and had visible chips on all of the pieces. The kitchenette sink was dirty around the faucet. 3. When we returned to the hotel at Midnight, there were people standing in the lobby trying to check in, but the front desk was closed. There was a metal screen pulled down and locked over it. I stopped and gave them the phone number to the front desk, as there was no contact info nor instructions visibly posted that would have helped them get help.
