Quality Inn & Suites Southport

There is a smell in the rooms and not kept up to clean. Rust in showers, floor coming up in bathroom. I probably won't use them again, i guess you get what you pay for. For a fast 1 night stay and cheaper place, it worked.

Everything Exelent

As is the usual situation around the Indianapolis area, the outer hotels are extremely disappointing. This one was no different. First off, the room had a putrid smell to it. I spoke with other guests and they had similar situations. I have read this in other reviews too, so I am only reinforcing the issue. Room service was poor. They came in every day during my stay and gave me a clean towel but did not make the bed. I found that strange and somewhat alarming. I kept my valuables in my car when not in the room. There were other things that were lacking considering I got one of their higher end suites with a jetted tub. No amenities such as shampoo, hair dryer, tissues. Breakfast was of poor quality but at least they had yogurt. On the bright side, this is the first hotel I have stayed at in the area that actually had a working indoor pool. Small, but it was working and the guests were using it. I would not stay here again mainly due to the awful smell.

The bathroom shower had red stains on the walls, and the doors were difficult to open and shut. The beds were good, and the wifi was poor but good enough for what we needed.

The bare basics. Don't expect any extras. No outside seating at all. Lunch buffet consists of yogurt, bread, apple, sausage, watery eggs, waffle. Instant coffee maker.

Rooms were adequate and clean. Was not expecting a deposit charge, but it was refunded. The person checking me in acted like I was an inconvenience but the one who checked me out looked exhausted but was very nice.

Easy to access for travelers. The lady who checked us in never bothered to shut off the videos on her phone to help us, and was even kind enough to let me know her feelings about what she was watching. Putting sheets on those beds was like putting lipstick on pigs...you just can't cover up how bad they were. The floor in the room wasn't clean; I had to remove the grit from my feet to put my boots back on. Overall, the place was clean enough but I wonder whose pool is in the pictures because the one we visited looked like a prison campus. If you need an acceptable overnight for a decent price, this place fits that bill. Don't hold your expectations too high.

The first room was moldy and musty we immediately went to the desk to get a new one. Really it was musty everywhere, moldy curtains and carpet, uncleaned floors and walls, window was broken and glued shut with holes in seal leading directly outside, flooring was duct-taped instead of repaired, thoroughly stained bedding, prescription pills on the ground, and prostitution on the property.

It just wasn’t a very clean hotel and it smelled really strongly of chemicals throughout. I had booked this for a work trip and felt bad.

Ok for the price

Don't stay in this hotel. The homeless shelter will treat you better and you won't have to overspend. As a longtime member and disabled veteran, I honestly thought it would have been a much better experience than it was.

It was a nice large clean room with a large king bed. The temperature in the room was fine, but you walk out to the hallway. It was unbelievably humid. The location was clean, but the breakfast buffet was something that was subpar.

The front desk was more worried about what ever was on his phone than answering our questions, there was maintenance equipment and loose tool in the pool area, the exterior doors propped open by traffic cones, the sheets were stained/soiled, room had mold on the walls by the beds, in the air unit, and in the bathroom
