Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront

I really loved this place. It was beautiful. I loved that it was right on the beach. The amenities were all used and absolutely to die for. They had an outdoor beach bar it was so awesome. My only two suggestions when staying here. 1. make sure when you park if the parking in the lot runs out... do not park in the beach spots as you will get towed. Make sure you park in the other property right across the street. There is plenty parking but my first night there I learned the hard way but thankfully asked and moved my car lol. Also the second was silly but I think for it being on the beach it's important that staff realizes this is a vacation for most people. I went to order a pina colada and the bar tender who was a girl seemed annoyed. Then she made it. 15 minutes later my co worker who looks nothing like me, asked for one and the bartender told her "she was out of the mix". I know it wasn't true because she opened up a brand new box of mix in front of me lol. So it was pure laziness and for the money you spend... you shouldn't have staff working there like that.

Every interaction with hotel staff positive and helpful. Checkin easy and quick, breakfast staff sweet and helpful. We stayed over 4th of July weekend so the hotel was full and busy, but the staff keeping pool area and grounds looking attractive. We had two "ocean view" rooms, but some "ocean views" better than others. I would ask for higher floors and avoid rooms over the pool for less noise and better views. $20 for breakfast buffet a little pricey, but we partook anyway and glad we did. Food was good.

This was the worst stay I have ever had in America.. the staff from check in to check out were awful. At one point I had to wonder if it was because we were black… they were so rude for no reason at all. I’m not even sure I got checked out.

It was a very nice stay and all the staff was great! The beach view was spectacular and we got up and watched the sunrise every morning. The breakfast was amazing. One of the best breakfast buffets I've had and the kids liked it too.

Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and very helpful. My room had an ocean view and great view of the pool and hot tub. When housekeeping came, she only cleaned the bathroom and replaced the towels. There was a spill in room and I asked the front desk to let housekeeping know so that the bedsheets could be changed and the trash taken out but they never showed up. Overall, it was a great stay!

On the beach, beautiful ocean views, easy beach access, pool w hot tub and bar with wonderful bartenders. Assad and Ashley were so awesome. There was another girl making drinks and taking care of everyone. too. I don’t remember her name. She was great ! Nothing. It is a great.

Outstanding staff !!!! From start to finish

Had a decent amount of sand in the bed in the first room. Staff quickly gave us another room. Unfortunately later that night this bed also had a little sand. Staff was helpful and the rest of visit was fine.

It was clean. Staff was very helper.

1. Food choices were the same for lunch and dinner which became boring after a few days. 2. The pool was closed for one full day due to emergency repairs needed to patch the cement around the hot tub. When I expressed my disappointment over no access to the pool I was told I would be comped $50 through Expedia which is the third party where I booked the hotel. I was also offered a credit for parking fees (which I wasn't even aware that I was being charged). I accepted the offer but upon reviewing my email receipt I found that I was not credited as promised.

I show up and the room given to me was a room on the first floor with a balcony facing closed shops and flipped tables. When I complained to the receptionist, the explanation I got was that “we checked-in late…”. There are no mentions of what is considered “late check-in” while booking. For all I know I could’ve showed up at 4:05 PM and they would’ve told me my room is no longer available because I “checked-in late”. As far as I know when you reserve something it is yours until the time is up. The room was paid for in full through Expedia. The check in time frame is from 4 PM to 5:30 AM. I am well within the check-in window. To give away the room that I paid for? That is unprofessional. It is unacceptable to have customers choose a room and pay for it and end up down grading the customer without any compensation or reasonable explanation. My experience was very unpleasant and the treatment was unprofessional. Book at your own risk.

Very disappointed that the pool was closed for an entire day. We were not notified ahead of time of the pool closing and not notified before we checked in. Then the next day we tried to get in the pool at 8am which was the time posted on the website only to be told that the pool didn’t open until 9am.

The ocean was pretty. Upon arriving they told me that my oceanfront room was downgraded and they would take a 100$ off. The oceanfront room with balcony was the only reason I booked the room. I was very disappointed. I could have stayed somewhere for 80$ otherwise. The gentleman didn’t greet me and just handed me the room key without explanation of where my room was. When I asked how to get to my room he was rude and pointed to the elevator. The fire alarm was going off the entire time I was checking in??? This constant beeping. We get to the room that was right above a pool with loud kids and music. If I opened the door the smell of smoke entered the room from people smoking below. Bugs in the bathroom. No place to walk to for restaurants. Very disappointed. Over priced. They also put a hold for 350$ on my debit card for 7 days. My room, after being downgraded, was half that price. Watch out for hidden fees!

Room cleaning and towel replacement every two days unless you request it. Beach good, food good

The pool was full of dead bugs all week. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. Our room was cleaned every other day so had to get items from front desk often. Our room was pool side on the third floor and was very noisy at night until 11pm when pool closed.

Clean, nice staff. I asked them to change our bedsheets and sweep our floor on the third day , but that was never done our entire stay.
