Magnuson Hotel Jacksonville Downtown

The entire place was run down and dirty. The girl checking me in was unpleasant and you had to check in at a window instead of going in at 4pm in the afternoon in the Florida heat. The furniture was broken in the room. There were rust and mold stains everywhere. The AC barely got the room cold. The 2nd night I found multiple live bugs in my room. It was the worst stay I’ve ever had in my life.

I have been staying there during a business trip for work and I have had no issues

all was good except the breezeway where the washer and dryer, ice machine and soda machine is located. water all over the floor for over a year and nothing has been done about it except the maintenance crew sweep it out?? have told the clerks several times about the issue and that say the owners have been notified?? but no action taken. I took photos and wish there was a way I could send them to you.

Breakfast was coffee and a busted juice dispenser and empty waffle batter machine and the lady running the desk could not care less. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The floor was filty!!

Double booked had no rooms under construction to many non stayers on premises and hanging around window and hotel workers asking for tips at window

Some good traits about staying in this hotel is that the staff was pretty nice. We didn’t have an issue with other tenants. In the rooms were not as bad as other people said in the comments. Some stuff that we didn’t like about staying at this hotel is that when we got there check-in was not until three and we arrived at 1 o’clock when I was told over the phone that we can clock in at any time. The pool was closed and was not open the whole time that we were there but that could be because it rained. It is very close to the highway so keep that in mind you’re going to hear an ambulance and police and other traffic. The toilet stayed clogged the whole time we were there in the shower dripped all night long. The AC does not work as good as I thought it would. The walls are dirty and there is just dirt everywhere.

i like that it’s a store near by and the wi-fi was ok this time with staying the tv kept cutting off every 30 minutes there where NO CLEAN ROOMS UPON ME AND MY CLIENTS ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL @ almost 4pm the front desk had no clean rooms and had multiple people waiting for clean rooms

There is no pool, which is one of the reasons I decided to stay there. The staff was helpful. Good motel for the money. Enjoyed microwave and fridge. But besides those amenities it's pretty basic. But it was all I needed. Would stay again.

The agent was nice The area the room no pool like it said it had the room were dirty

In room coffee maker was broken and the shower/ bathroom was in dire need of updating/ repairs
