Lots of renovation going on. Fire alarms at 5:09 and 5:12 AM

Everything was nice

As at July 31st, 2026, this property is undergoing ongoing extensive renovations still. It appears as if they are getting close to the finish line. I believe that once these renovations are completely done this property will be a full five stars recommendation from me. As for my stay, however, sections of the property were off-limits, and with the ongoing construction, my day wasn’t flawless. I would come back here in the fall winter and in the future.

The property on tge outside was very underwhelming. At first I thought we were at the wrong lication. Really a shock on first arrival. There really were no amenities to rate. Nothing really there to offer on inside. For the amount you pay...it's wasn't worth the price. Restaurant was Absolutely amazing. Pricey but best food on town. Parking at your own risk but charged for it. There are spaces reserved for Vets but not advertised...and anyone parks there in those spaces. No snack bar, pool looked abandoned...NO ONE was swimming in that pool. Upgrades on inside are becoming nice. They will be nice once complete. Rooms, you are paying more for less. No microwave in your room, no safe, no ice machines, small tv. Best things was the awesome restaurant honestly...the food was amazing. Nothing spectacular about the area. The river near by was nice but not too far nearby are run down areas. You decide.

I thought the room was great obviously they are still doing renovations but everything was great.

I had a great experience even with the hiccup they made it right and upgraded us to a governor’s suite with me and my cousin, it was so big and beautiful. Food was made to cook so breakfast was on point no old food. I can’t wait to go back

There is nothing majorly wrong, but lots of little things. No WiFi- and even if you connect for a little it’s so slow it will disconnect itself. I had to take meetings using my phone as a hotspot in my room. They’re under construction, so lots of common areas taped off. Daily cleaning service isn’t included and you have to ask for it by going to the front desk each night. The rooms are beat up but fine. Laughably small pillows. The restaurant is terrible- and I have really low standards. The coffee isn’t drinkable. If you go to the river walk out the back doors of the hotel you can’t get back inside. If you do end up here, there is a restaurant in walking distance called BB’s which was really great! It was the saving grace of the week.

Staff was great and accommodating.

I booked a room with river view but was not available on arrival. Even after waiting an hour because I arrived a little before the check-in time, I still was not able to get said room and was booked into a 2nd story room with no view aside from a wall lol. I understand that certain things happen or are out of control, but I didn't have pest control on my bingo card. The hotel seems to undergo renovations, but nevertheless, flooding the bathroom after a shower because the door seal was just a temp fix and more of a door sweep, wasn't so great either. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly, and the location is great as well. The river walk is just a few steps away with a few great restaurants nearby.

Was not aware of the renovations. All surfaces in the room were dusty and the window had hand smudge prints.

The valet parkers were good and nice. I was part of a group and the food served to us was cheap, minimal, and cold. There was a musty smell throughout the hotel. I spent a lot of time having coughing fits due to being allergic to something . I asked for my room to be clean. And nobody ever came. My room did not have a microwave oven, but my friend's did. This place seems to be suited for business people who stay 1 or 2 nights. Not a great place for a vacation spot. The restaurant food was better than what are group was served.

I have stayed here three times now always a pleasant trip. Looking forward to all of the renovations being completed.

I booked and paid for a FULL RIVER VIEW room weeks ahead as I was staying over the 4th of July. I called twice during that time to make sure it was a riverview room & was told it was. When we got to the room, you could barely see the river through a very small area of the window. I called and complained & told them perhaps this is a "partial riverview". The room was sideways to the river. They put me on hold for a mgr. After waiting 10 to 15 min. I hung up & went back down to the front desk now with a line out the door with new guests! I went to the 3 front agents & was told I needed to wait in the line again! I went to the end & called the hotel main line. I waited on the phone the whole time in line & there was never even an operator available! Back at the desk I explained I was in the room waiting for the mgr to pick up. Then they said that the lady on the end was the manager & she was taking new people! They couldn't change my room due to being sold out. They tried to give me drinks vouchers, which we don't drink. Then gave me a dinner voucher. I went to the restaurant to redeem it, The staff was so short there was a line to get in, They told us it would be awhile. I tried to order room service & eventually got someone to take my order. I returned to pick it up since they had no staff. I was told my parking would be $17 and they charged me $27! This is NOT a hotel I will return to! Many guests were upset. Complaining everytime I was in the elevator. KEEP LOOKING!!!

I suggest vending machine for drinks and parking not to be a QR code especially for valet let us pay at desk

I have been staying here for a few years since my daughter lives on the riverside of Jax. The staff is very friendly and I always sleep well in the comfortable beds. The room offers water bottles and coffee pods. I will be back!

Feedback: No snacks at the front desk or vending machines. there should be vending machines on each floor for late night snacking if needed. For example, diabetics that may not have brought snacks with them. My recommendation is to have snacks packed for those late night eating or for late night hunger or even daytime snacking needs. Advice: bring snacks to have during your day

Currently, if you are looking for fancy, this isn't the place. However, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. We have stayed here before, and will return after the reservations are complete. Hopefully it will be done by the Mother's Day Donna 5k next year, as this is where we generally stay for that event.

The carpet in the room was dirty, the TV would only show 3 channels and the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work.
-
I was given the wrong room at check in but the matter was later resolved.

There was a makeshift bar in restaurant Badly understaffed. Staff that was on hand tried hard to keep up Gym was in a temp room No towels, a/c not great Bed had large valley and uncomfortable Not a normal Marriott stay
