San Marco Inn East

Staff was friendly. It was close to shopping and restaurants. Some of the furniture a door on the tv stand was broken and coming apart. The toilet was not steady. We didn't need to use the cabinet on the tv stand during our stay.

Easy location and plenty of parking spaces .

All of the equipment worked. On my second stay for my return trip home, I noticed the ceiling needed to be cleaned and painted. No big deal. Being a tall guy, when I took a shower my hands hit the ceiling. Also not a big deal.

Room was very clean. It was a bit dated, but nice. No complaints. I would definitely stay here again. It was one of the better “budget hotels” I have stayed in.

- 1st night arrival: Raj at front desk. Very nice, genuinely empathetic; tried in earnest to help get my family the room we reserved and paid for through Expedia weeks ago. - very close to the Community First Igloo, where my daughter's hockey tournament was being played all weekend. -actually very clean, both outside property and room interior. -parking lot conducive to having mostly good parking spots. Cons: - Despite being Expedia's fault For not transmitting our reservation (lesson learned, folks-ALWAYS call the hotel/motel you reserve through any of the travel sites DAYS prior to your arrival, especially when it's a small, local establishment, and verify they received your reservation. Otherwise, you and/your family could get stuck without a room. Not great, especially after 7 hours of driving), in order for me to secure the two nights I had booked, the front desk proceeded to charge me $20 more the first night, and $30 more the second night (according to them, it was a high demand day: Saturday...despite the fact the parking lot was only slightly fuller). All this despite me showing proof of my paid Expedia rate ($71/night) receipt. If I was alone and not with my family, I would have told them to stick it for profiting on something they could have honored. On that note, Expedia did call them to give them proof, but they insisted it "wasn't in their system".Expedia did refund me, and the owner/managemnt still found ot in their heart to charge me full rate.

Parking Lot was very very well lit up!! You definitely get your money’s worth in this location!
