Key cards had to be reset every day because the card readers are 30 years old. Staff all appear to be teens with no training and zero customer service, the cleaning staff will just hang out in rooms watching tv, some seem to live at the hotel and walk around barefoot or in pjs in the lobby at night. You can hear everything your neighbors do or say, and the rooms are insanely hot with no AC or temp control. The restaurant is gross - gnats in our food and overpriced. The room rates are outrageous-$400+ a night for several nights of our stay for the equivalent of a truck stop motel. Rate is worth no more than $80 a night at most. This place is a ripoff - book ANYWHERE else.

Great location! Walking distance to everything!

Property was a very classic property. Great potential to be a beautiful place. Nothing takes the place of a well kept property. This hotel needs a good cleaning. Good luck on that.

The Mt. Roberts tram office is a popular landmark for tour meeting spots, but my map app wasn’t super clear on its location. When I asked the woman at the front desk to confirm, she didn’t know where it was. Juneau is a small city. I’m not expecting her to know where everything is, but she should learn some basics. The breakfast buffet, which was around $20, was on par or slightly worse than continental breakfasts that are free at comparable hotels elsewhere. Better to order from the menu.

Beds are very comfortable Best crew team of friendly people 😍😍

Close to downtown.

Expedia booked us the wrong day. We stayed Friday and Saturday. They booked us Sunday. Expedia refused to credit us Sunday unless the hotel oks it. I spoke to the hotel desk several times. They assured me they would take care of it. They did not! So I got charged for a room i never used!

Good location and older classic building. Had trouble with room overheating. Could not stop heat and it was very hot in room, near impossible to sleep even with window open and 42 degrees outside it didn’t offset the heater. Talked to staff 3 times to eventually get a small fan which helped slightly. Not the problem I expected in Alaska!

Do NOT stay at this property. We were in room 211 and the window glass was actually broken and there was an attempt to glue it back together. The curtains were too short so light was combining in. You can literally hear people in their rooms on either side urinating. Wall paper peeling off and the list goes on.

Historic property that is well maintained and provideds a great experience. I loved how large my room was and the bed was very comfortable. Location is perfect if you would like to experience downtown Juneau. I am looking forward to my next visit in the near future. Thank you for such a great experience.

Step into 1950 with 1950s decor, amenities, and comfort.

Most of the staff was pleasant but not overly helpful Room was extremely hot but once the heat was off it cooled to acceptable levels Not all that many options in Juneau in the first place.
-
Nice, looks like they are renovating it. No air conditioning but other than that was good.

Needs an overhaul

Pretty disappointed. Pretty expensive for a worn outdated property. There is no AC and it was warm in Juneau at the time we went. Very hard to sleep. The windows were open but you have to close the curtains because of the sunlight at night. Our tv wasn’t working, we were told “oh the tv doesn’t work on floors 8 & 9” after we called to the front desk to ask about it. The pictures online look pretty good but they are deceiving. Stay somewhere else if you can. It’s ok if this is all that’s available.

A very good option for downtown Juneau. Classic old-town feel. No air conditioning in the rooms except for a fan but I understand, AC days only happen a few times per year. Quiet and clean room.

Great staff and very helpful

Perfect location. It was an older building, the rooms were small, but the mattress and pillows were excellent! The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was so convenient as well as the laundry room. We would definitely stay here again!
