Seemingly under renovation……very old……scary elevators…….close to local interests…..not really a lot of options
-
the staff was not at all helpful in the breakfast area

Dirty, rundown, dark and dingy, inattentive staff. The worst hotel I have stayed in 30 years. Heat was running in the room. Had to open the window and run the AC (with a ducktaped vent to the window) to keep the temperature bearable. Staff at the front desk did not care. Door trim at the elevator had been ripped off. Absolutely dreadful. I can't belive you sell this hotel.

I loved that there’s rice in the buffet! The staff were all kind and approachable.

Great location and great staff.

I saw a bear from my window.

It was very easy access to downtown. Museums were close.

The Concierge of the hotel was the one who recommended this Classic Property. She was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed the location and all it had to offer, it worked out perfectly for us before getting on Uncruise.

The staff was helpful at check in. The elevator was pretty sketchy, but the room was clean. There is no A/C but there is a fan in the closest

Shortly after arriving, told we couldn’t use the front door or elevator, once in the room realized the power was out. Paid for breakfast with our reservation, but the next morning was told it was not available. Ice machine didn’t work, when I asked the front desk was told I could find the info about ice machines in the elevator.

We read the reviews and knew the hotel was dated but we were pleasantly surprised and pleased by the staff and accommodations. Breakfast buffet was good and filling. We even had AC in our room. Alaska is expensive. Juneau is expensive- everything has to be shipped in by plane or boat. The hotel is centrally located and convenient to downtown Juneau!

The only detail is that the hotel seems a bit old, but that is a generality for the whole city and it does not affect the experience.

Good breakfast

The parking is really bad.

Nicely located to the downtown area. Clean and very nice and accommodating staff. The only thing a little off is there is still renovations that need to be completed that would go a long way. Most apparently is the unfinished trim work on the room floors. A simple fix to this would drastically improve the look and feel of the hotel.

Location was central to downtown Juneau with dining & shopping options nearby. Our corner suite on the upper floor had a nice water view and was not too noisy. Bed was comfortable and living area quite spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fitness center was small but functional.

The location is very good
-
I liked the location We were on the sunny side. The sun beat in the window and there was no air conditioning. Direct tv doesn’t work on the 9th floor. Water shut off 3 hours a day on floors 3-5. The buffet breakfast was horrible. There are many scary and drugged homeless people within a block of the hotel.
-
Breakfast restaurant has the worst service, there were bugs in 2 drinks - I felt ill after eating here. Zero effort from any of the staff or the managers. Literally everyone is phoning it in at best. The front desk shouted personal information like phone numbers and room numbers so the whole lobby can hear. When we said we had a leaking bathroom - no offer to change rooms (I had to ask for it), no comped room, no free breakfast not even an apology. Key cards to rooms stopped working and had to be reset daily. Our room rates are over $400 over a holiday week for a quality of hotel that’s no better than a cheap roach motel.

Needs a little work and updated. But they are working on it.
