I want to share my experience because I feel other travelers should be aware of what they are booking before choosing the Westin Villas North property in Maui. First and foremost, be aware that this is a timeshare property. If you are expecting to pay for an upgrade, request a better room location, or have the property help create a memorable experience for a special occasion, I would strongly recommend setting your expectations accordingly. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at all. We specifically wanted to stay in the North Tower because it is the more recently renovated building. We went through the trouble of canceling and rebooking our reservation specifically to stay in the North Tower and even paid more for a larger room with an ocean view. Despite doing all of this, we were assigned one of the last rooms on the property, all the way out by the highway. The room was barely what I would consider an ocean-view room and was extremely far from the lobby, parking, pools, and other resort amenities. What was most frustrating was that we felt misled about the room we had booked and the experience we were paying for. We made additional arrangements and paid more with the expectation that we would receive the room and location we had intentionally selected, only to end up in a location that felt completely inconsistent with what we were expecting. The communication and follow-through from management were also

Nice place! Parking is Rough! And Finding your Room Can be difficult! Every time you leave.

Live music, views, private access to beach. Price is expensive, as everything in Maui. I think I got the best value for the price I paid though.
-
Free shuttle rides Value of the place was overpriced.

Excellent beautiful place/location. Front desk needs help. Over hour to check in, no apologies and no one in front of us. Just sat behind their computers??? What was happening? No communication was. Got mail I was expecting, no call, email or msg to room. I pressed on check out and they found it. Front desk help needed

Staff was great, rooms were clean, pools were warm. The ocean right outside the hotel is clean and allows you do do activities without leaving the area like snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, floating, etc)
-
The hotel parking places were almost all for "compacts only" but most of the vehicles in the lot were large SUVs and minivans. Also it cost $32 a night.
-
Room was clean and staff was friendly and courteous.
-
great place except for the Pololio ? restaurant, mediocre service and food
-
It was a wonderful experience and the views in Maui are mind blowing. You have to go to the summit of mountain Haleakalā and watch the sunrise

Time share is outdated
-
Worthless, old, far away, never coming back

This property was one of the nicer properties in Maui that we saw while beach hopping. It was less busy and the beach access was great for snorkeling. Was centrally located to most shopping and dining. Just sad we had to leave.

Having to pay for parking.
