Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows

My family & I love this hotel!!! We just spent 9 days at there in May. We’ve been coming to the Royal Lahani since 2003. The resort is clean, the staff is helpful & friendly. The beach is beautiful & the ocean water is so clear & blue. While we were in the water two sea turtles swam right next to us, they were headed toward the reef by the black rock!!!. It was an awesome experience to see such beauty. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant, the ice cream shop & the rooster on the grounds that crowed throughout the day. The hotel is close to Whaler’s village, other shops & stores.

I didn't like how the prices and tripled over the last year. In addition to very expensive stay the hotel charged an additional $45 per day in addition to $40 per day for parking. I love this resort and have stayed here 4 different times and unfortunately I can no longer afford it. Very sad

We had a lovely stay in one of the bungalows. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The ambience is lush and peaceful. One day we took an evening walk and came across a musical performance (singer with acoustic guitar) on a cozy little stage under a giant tree very close to our bungalow. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, the restaurant and the poolside bar. And of course the beach. The free Kaanapali Trolley makes a stop at this resort, making it easy to get to Whaler's Village. Overall a lovely and memorable stay.

My wife and I stayed for a week, and everything was exactly what a toes in the sand vacation should be. There is great snorkeling close by at Black Rock, we saw sea turtles everyday we were there. The pool bar is lively, and the valet staff were very informative.

Our stay was for only one night as we had other accommodations for the remainder of our time in Maui, but I would have no hesitation at all to choose Royal Lahaina again for future visits.

This place was exactly what I was expecting. The resort was perfect

rundown, ratty, and outdated. glass shower door had wonky hinges and barely opened. reception staff was really unfriendly and rude, like htey were doing us a favor to allow us to stay in their overpriced dump. just no.

Staff are excellent e regime is the sweetest the rooms however need to be updated and cleaned better. Excellent layout just needs to be better cleaned

We will 100% stay here again. The staff was wonderful and it’s conveniently located. There’s a free trolley that runs daily that makes getting to other resorts nearby, easy and fast. Fantastic place to stay you won’t regret it.

Bungalow had many bugs and room service didn’t come. Hotel was much better. The staff was wonderful, breakfast buffet was great and a good choice to include in your stay. The beach view is fantastic. Pools were great, there is no hot tub though. Great spa and luau.

No microwave Charged extra fees which were not explained

We were in Waikiki, Hawaii during the 100-year storm. Everywhere was flooding, therefore, we decided not to go to Maui and get stuck on the island. The staff would not refund any part of our hotel fees at all or allow us to rebook at another time. We will never stay there! We could not believe this…very disappointing!

The room is old, with stains on the wall from AC, staff were not friendly and even we had to carry heavy bags into car trunk and the staff were looking at us and no one even gave a hand!

The resort was amazing; however, on our last day we decided to go to Royal Scoops for our final coffee and we saw a roach on the counter that made its way to where the pastries were. Also, there was one bartender (older gentleman) at Lahaina Noon who was dismissive and was gone for 30 min without letting anyone know or getting someone to fill in while he took a break.

Great Luau! Beautiful location; pool and beach was amazing!

We had an oceanfront bungalow with kitchen and it was perfect. Beautiful view of the beach and pool plus close to hotel amenities. We had the breakfast package which was convenient to walk over in the morning. We liked the water filling station nearby too. Most every evening they had a very nice space by a huge lamp lighted old tree with live music. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. It is a close 10-12 minute walk to Blackrock for snorkling. We also walked about 18-20 minutes to Whaler's village for restaurants and shops although they also offer a shuttle there. It was about a 9 minute drive to Safeway and the Lahaina cannery and shops where they had indoor food trucks. All in all we loved the property and location was great for us. Thank you!
