The property was nice. The WiFi was terrible. Spent a ton of money to stay at this hotel only to find out parking in the hotel parking garage incurred an additional cost of $40 a day, something the front desk staff did not advise us of at check in. They tell you first day valet is complimentary then proceed to charge you for it. I’m sure every hotel is like this. Lesson learned for a first timer.

Great location, but the hotel itself is incredibly dated and neglected. It completely fails to live up to the Sheraton brand name and does not provide the basic amenities you would expect from a 4-star resort. The poolside showers do not work or if they do a trickle of water pours out and the public toilets right next to the pool area were filthy. Between the lack of standard room amenities and the, dirty facilities, i was disappointed.

The property was very clean. The rooms were cleaned daily to help with overload of sand from the beautiful beach. The beach was not overcrowded and the sunsets on the beach are spectacular. I really enjoyed the daily shaved ice hut on property. It was very easy and convenient to charge your onsite expenses to the room. The onsite food for the breakfast buffet, Teppan-Yaki, and the onsite luau was very good. We walked or used Uber to take us to local restaurants. My only gripe was the game room wasn’t open for my tween and twenty teen. This was one of the best vacation experiences for me and my family.

I thought it was a beautiful location. Right on the beach with snorkeling at the black Rock. Loved the food and shaved ice! The hotel staff were not very friendly. The gift shop clerk was very friendly and the towel staff also very friendly. The staff at the Starbucks on site need more work no eye contact and no smiling all 3 days we ate there. They did seem stressed Also the lady at the breakfast stand not friendly, not a big deal just ruins the ambience. Also do not like that they claim to give you a gift before departure but really they just want to get you to their stand to advertise getting a time share or deals to come back. Very annoying. Lastly their showers to wash our feet were all broken. We had to bring much sand to the room. The location is perfect beautiful and very convenient but if they didn’t have that they would get a very low rating.

Beautiful resort, excellent staff, incredible location.

La ubicación es buena. La atención desde el check in es mala, no tratan de avisarte si hay o no actividades, mala relación precio calidad, es un hotel viejo y descuidando en general, deberían muchas más atención en sus instalaciones y trato al huésped. Mala experiencia

Pretty nice overall, becoming dated for sure but its right on the beach and the staff are great. Slow service at the resturants on the beach, they seemed pretty understaffed during the busy times. We waited a while for attention from servers several times which is a bummer due to how expensive this place is, but otherwise all good.

Upon check in, we received 2 refillable water bottles and 4 shell leis. The water bottles are covered under the resort fee (only learned this afterwards). We reserved a room for my family of four, on top of that we were also charged extra guests fee. Not that the water bottles are a big deal, but if I’m paying for extra charges, I should get what I paid for. One major problem, not enough seats by the pool/beach. Many guests go out early in the morning to claim seats by laying down towels/water bottles/etc but don’t return until hours later. While guests who were actively using the pool can’t get seats at all. It was sad seeing families with young children sitting in corners trying to make it work. There’s the option to rent cabanas or shaded seats, but you’d have to pay extra. And as per staff, cabanas/beach chairs/umbrellas are rents by the day, not hour. The hotel itself seemed a bit run down. The closet door in my room wasn’t functional, The AC wasn’t cool enough. Our room wasn’t serviced everyday. For the amount of money this hotel, it doesn’t feel like a 4-5 star hotel as advertised. I would find another hotel next time I’m in Maui.

The rooms could use an update and it was unfortunate that the family room was closed during our stay. Views, beach access, pool, and food options were all great.

Clean, beautiful. Friendly staff. Two pools and beach access. Cliff jumping and snorkeling. Luau on site. Convenient to beach walk, shopping and restaurants. One thing I’d change is more chairs around pool.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the entire resort had such a relaxed, welcoming island feel. We loved spending time by the pool, exploring the beautiful grounds, and enjoying the convenience of having everything we needed right there. The atmosphere was peaceful, the views were unforgettable, and it truly felt like the perfect place to slow down and enjoy vacation. Sheraton Maui Resort gave us memories we’ll cherish for a long time. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful Maui getaway!

The sofa bed was old, dirty, and not in acceptable condition for guests. Housekeeping was also very poor. We did not receive clean towels, and room service did not come until around 6:00 PM, even after we called to request service. For a resort with Sheraton’s reputation, I expected much higher standards of cleanliness and housekeeping. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope the hotel improves its room maintenance, cleanliness, and housekeeping service for future guests.

The property is so well planned and landscaped beautifully. The lobby is very inviting and a perfect place to see stunning sunsets while lounging in comfortable chairs. Everyone was so cheerful, helpful and added to the magical ambience of the environment both physically and emotionally. The Sheraton is a place that depicts that Mauii feel. Thank you for giving our family a vacation we will always remember.

Had a great stay at the Sheraton! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly…even gave us a room upgrade at check in and an anniversary gift sent to our room. Property location was excellent and condition was top notch. Sheraton made this an amazing vacation!

rooms are nice somewhat dated but clean and spacious. pools are nice, big and many. a little lazy river too. reserve your cabana in advance there are 3 bars on property all good.
-
Very expensive for what you get. If you are travelling as a party of four, the beds are small - double beds, not queens. Not much room to be in the room when you are paying $600 a night it's a bit ridiculous. Additionally the resort fees are exorbitant as well.

Spent my 34th birthday here at Black Rock. AMAZING experience. Honestly it was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you!!
