The Whaler Resort

Parking is available. It’s not a hotel per se, more like privately owned condos managed by a service provider. 24 hr reception available, housekeeping can be requested if needed. Everything was great.

The location was excellent

They view is amazing. The staff is so nice. Our unit was well appointed and well maintained. Free parking garage with elevators directly to your floor.

Location could not be any better. Tower 1 is not on the Whaler Village side and thus avoided all the noise. It very close to the Black Rock. Also, unit 615 had the courtyard view -- so with all kinds of activities (like yoga sessions) happening from time to time, it never got boring. The ocean view from the balcony was excellent. The room was conveniently located right next to the (quiet) elevator and the laundry room. The ocean was right next to the building door. Also, the room was nice and clean. Parking was a breeze -- right under the building, and it was free. The internet did not work well when we first got in because, as we found out the next morning from the guy who came and fixed the issue, is that the owner never updated the name of the network and the password. That is why the wifi info that the concierge gave us was different from what we really needed to use. Once the (very nice and competent) guy fixed it, it worked perfectly.

Near the Whalers village- great location, good parking facilities. Bed was not comfortable as the room was not cleaned well.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Location is prime. Staff friendly and helpful. At first I was thinking no additional fees for housekeeping. You do get extra towels and garbage service on 4th day of stay so had again on the 8th day. Then I thought about it and this property is not a hotel. People own the suites and rent out so expectations should not be like a hotel stay. No fees for beach and water equipment would be nice but then again it’s not a hotel or typical resort so was not a deterrent.

The location was excellent. The proximity to dining and shopping was great. We also enjoyed being able to snorkel right out in front of the Whaler. NA

You can’t beat the location. The property is well kept. There are plenty of chairs for the beach. Our condo had beach chairs and an umbrella. The catamarans for whale watching, sunset, dinner and snorkeling picked you up right in front in your beach. The walking path went both ways for mikes of beach. It has everything you need including plenty of parking and concierge. Each condo that is rented out by individuals or companies are all decorated and cared for by each. Some need alot of updating. The entry ways used to be swept daily from sand. It is not kept up as it used to be. A security person came storming into our condo after 9 pm asking if we smelled smoke. He said someone was complaining about someone smoking which is not allowed. It was not us and he made us feel like it was. I didn’t think that was how it should have been handled. Otherwise, we will continue to vacation there. Thank you

Great location close to restaurants and shopping center.Clean property with very comfortable bed and pillows , large tv and nice Hawaiian display of vintage items . Nice kitchen area and restroom Minor delay to get the room upon arrival after 4 pm and it would be nice to have a coffee shop in the lobby

The resort was next to the Whaler's market place which is very convenient to food and shopping. Love that it is beach front property. Could have a bit more shade in common areas to sit and relax outdoors.

Hands down the coolest resort we've ever been to, with the staff adding a great personal touch! We had a lovely apartment with ocean view, there was a chill lawn concert with Hawaiian folklore, a hula dance and free cocktails! It's also near Whalers Village, that has nice stores and restaurants. I planned a short stay, my bad.

Loved everything about property! Enjoyed the hot tub(super hot like I enjoy)the gym, & the sunsets with dinner on our deck patio. Location is fantastic for walking to snorkel at Black Rock, shop at the mall or eat at a nearby restaurant. That I had to leave.

Maid service ice tea at the pool Nothing

The view was outstanding. Great kitchen in the condo and the staff are so friendly. Everything was so clean. The pool and area could be bigger. It felt very compact. Also, the pool was 5-6 feet all around.

The room looked like it was taken from a series about "life in paradise"... perfect, amazing. Our room was high up and in front of the sea... there are no words to describe how wonderful it was. have maid service have room service have food at the resort

Everything was perfect, it was clean and all the supplies you could need were available immediately, plus the staff were very nice and helpful.

The beach was just steps away, so were all activities.
