Extended Stay America Select Suites - Kalamazoo - West

We were told the hotel was overbooked and turned away at 10:30 at night. This was after receiving THREE confirmation emails, one from booking.com and two from extended stay. The check in desk was closed, so we had to call an operator to get the attendant to come down. She came in pajamas with a shower cap on her head and a “not my problem” attitude. We had to get back on the road, exhausted and feeling lied to. Worst experience at a hotel EVER.

Fine for our one night stay. We visited the restaurants close by.

close to the highway to go back home it was food left in my fridge from a previous person that probably stayed there

The staff member was super friendly and made our stay more pleasurable. He went above and beyond to make us happy stayers!

Very comfortable , had all I need, quiet area Just the elevator it was semi slow

was good for one night Had a kitchen area but did not furnished you with pots and pans you had to buy them if you wanted them.

The website promise the longer you stay the less you pay, but that wasn't the case for me. Some weeks were cheaper then others. Some weeks would go to nearly $700 per week. They do allow pets there, if you don't have pets this is essential information. Especially it you have pets allergies. They room had a weird smell that I'm still trying to get out of my travel clothes and suitcase.

Staff was exceptional. Helpful and friendly. Made the family feel welcome.

Found roaches. It was the dirtiest and nasty room I have ever stepped in, turned right around and got the he'll out of there.

We were in for the weekend for a funeral and thought this would be convenient. Cleanliness is not a strong suit for this property, from the parking lot being littered, to the smell of cannabis, the litter in the hallways, the stuff on the bathroom walls I would definitely not stay here again. Would not feel safe as a single female here either. The front desk staff were polite when talking with them I think maybe they have too much on their plate to keep up.

I reserved a room with two queen beds, but for the first night, I was forced to sleep on a sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable. It took multiple requests on the second day before we were moved to the correct room. Additionally, there was no daily cleaning, and we were required to pay an extra fee just to get clean towels. Had I known this in advance, I would not have booked here. As a Hotels.com customer of nearly 10 years, I’ve never experienced service this poor

Fire alarms went off in earlier morning, we run out waited for fire departments check to go back over 30 minutes. Fire fighter guy said this hotel alarm go off often.

People singing in the hallway all hours, people stomping above me, getting woke early cause of smoke in the hallway, front desk not friendly, bed very uncomfortable, guts drinking in the parking lot all hours

Filthy hallways and rooms, sparse outdated furniture, broken tub, walls beat up, pot smoke in elevator and hallways. If you’re looking for an economical $orn movie production, this place is for you.
