Nice place

ok

A lot of noise on Friday evenings. I guess it is a thing for loud cars downtown Friday nights. Place could need some updates.
-
The only thing that I like about hotel is the location. Everything else needs complete renovation
-
Only thing I can pick on is that it is definitely was not soundproof.
-
Restaurant next door is a bargain.
-
Beautifully updated with little touches that keep the history of the hotel.
-
Fun, nicely restored hotel and very convenient.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kalispell Grand! It far exceeded our expectations. It was in great shape for a historical building. It is truly grand! The breakfast was quite a wonderful surprise, served on real china. And it was delicious! The location made the area very walkable, and was convenient to everything we wanted to do.

We found the Hotel to be very clean, quiet, and close to eating places, especially an Italian restaurant. Parking not so good

Staff and breakfast were great. Could use blackout shades as we were on the street side and the street lamp was shining into our room all night.

We came as a party of 5 and should have the sofa bed set up as a spare bed. It wasn't. Called for assistance and front desk came and provided the beddings which we did our selves. Toiletries were also limited, only meant for 1 person. Easy fix could have asked for more - but both things not set up or intended for the max party made me think they didnt really think much of the guests or how the room was advertised for as a max for 5. Breakfast was a good offering. The quiche was lovely. Okay stay for 1 night. .maybe not a great option for longer stays especially if the HVAC is still not sorted. Will still consider for short stay in the future.

In addition, the check in process was terrible. The girl working the desk took off to check on a room with two of us still in line. She did not come back for quite some time while we just stood there. And, I could not find anyone for check out. I went and got some coffee and still no one. I finally left the key and wrote a note. Lastly, they are charging people $12 for parking in the lot behind the hotel. I have lived in Kalispell for quite some time and this lot is FREE after 5 p.m. They did not charge me, but what a scam!

Breakfast was great and the the front desk lady helped us out by going up and getting my headphones that I had left, so that was very helpful.

Nice staff, BUT: Hotel has not been updated in a LONG time. Small rooms. Musty odors. No central temperature/ thermostat had note on it scotch taped saying "sorry for the inconvenience." Tiny shower. Horrible water pressure. Terrible in-window A/C ALSO: Virtually NOTHING is open at night.

It was clean, nice bed, great shampoo.
-
Historic stay.

On the good. They give cookies (homemade) and popcorn in the evening. The coffee seems 24/7 and is good flavor.
-
I loved the historical nature of the property!

Poor maintenance, noisy, small rooms, very old hotel. Although, it has a good location, but requires complete renovation.
