Travelodge by Wyndham Kalispell

Superb

The guy at checkin was bland. Our rooms on the ground floor were the worst we've ever stayed in. I chose this motel because it was the most reasonably priced, and the reviews weren't terrible. We couldn't have been more disappointed. The bedsheets looked like they had already been slept in. Not crisp at all. The pillows were flat so we had to stack them. My husband's bottom sheet was stained. The curtain was coming off at the end. The lock above the doorhandle was broken. The wall by the bathroom had lots of nicks in it. We didn't even shower because it looked so nasty, and we shower daily. Our sink wouldn't drain because the attachment was off. Luckily my husband had his tools with him and fixed it himself. It wasn't hand fixable. In our kid's room, the one bedspread had a burnhole and the other had 2 large stains. Nasty place and will never return.

No breakfast was offered to us by staff but I think it was included. For $288 canadian it was not a nice room. Terrible strong smell. Crunchy carpets. Lumpy old mattresses.

A bit older motel but clean and functional.

Had No breakfast. Location was very central to all of our needs. Cleanliness ok but really needs updating. For example, drywall above tub surround is showing prior wetness or rotting from water damage. Nightstand had a very sticky area that I had to clean off.

The room was comfortable; the staff very cordial and helpful; parking right outside the door for ground level rooms is a "plus"; however, the room is very outdated, needs to be refreshed and the coffee pot basket was extremely dirty, I would not use it. I did like the outside seating area, but that too needed to be cleaned up and re-landscaped. Very old, tired and messy!

Bed was comfortable, breakfast was okay. The outside balcony was crumbling, falling apart. People vomiting in the parking lot, some loud partying in room next to us, no light bulbs in lamps.

Our room wasn't very clean. The carpet was dirty. There was garbage under the beds. One of the towels and a face cloth was with stains. We were too tired to complain at the desk after driving 12 hours

Good overall stay

The staff at the front desk was very nice on check-in. However, do not get fooled by the photos like we did! The beds were terrible: clearly overused/ needing replaced with obvious dips in the mattress, overall very uncomfortable. The ceilings are very low. Stains on the (bubbling from poorly/rushed installation) carpet, the bathtub was gross. We originally booked 3 days and checked out after the first night.

I'm not sure we'll plan to stay here again; it is really run-down and had a very weird smell. It's a cheap place to stay, and it shows; it really needs to have some updates. The staff was very supportive and nice to work with!!! The owners need to put some money into it to make it a better place.

More healthy choices less sugary options

Low budget hotel. Would not recommend it unless money is an issue. I would pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

Older hotel, no elevator to access upper floor. Breakfast was minimal

The hotel and room were roughly what I expected it to be as in fairness the rate is reasonably cheap (you get what you pay for). The parking was easy and the breakfast reasonable. The saloon up the street was excellent. The lad on check in could do with a little more customer friendly demeanour the chap was less than welcoming, we enquired about local places which might be open for dinner and were met with a dismissive shrug and a reluctant suggestion of a saloon up the street which might be open though in fairness we did interrupt the football on TV. The room could do with some TLC, the air conditioner was battered in fact I realigned the housing to make it work. Generally the facility is a little tired but still good value for all that.

Door was dirty. Slide lock on the door was half removed, curtains didn’t close, sink fawset didn’t work, pop up sink drain cover was stuck, bathtub lacked caulking and black mold was visible. No extra blanket or no TV guide and instructions. No conditioner - really shocked that Wyndham associated their name either this property. Vehicles were loud trucks in the parking lot. Room never was cleaned after one night - so disgusted - we left!
