Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Kansas City at Village West, KS

This hotel is perfectly fine but it is older and ready for some upgrades.

Overall it was very comfortable and clean. It was very close to the concert venue and the coffee was good!

Nice suite for the price.

At first we had a problem with the room as the AC unit was leaking and the rug was soaked andyet they put us in this room. After talking with the manager and calling Choice hotels(I am a member) the next day we got upgraded and had a wonderful stay. The manager made it good. We would stay there again. Staff was awesome

Everything and everyone was just great. Very clean and polite. On our trip we stayed going to Wyoming and coming back. Will definitely stay with them again.

Things I did not like are nitpicky things but things that I think give me an overall sense of pride by the staff and owner. I was told that they do not offer the signature cookies which is actually pictured on the listing. I look forward to those cookies when I stay at Country Inn. The staircase from the second floor to the lobby did not get vacuumed once during our stay and they were dirty which is the same for the north exit staircase. An empty cup sat on the North window of the second-floor hallway my entire stay bc no one picked it up. The closets in my room which was a suite looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a long time either. The pool area was dirty. There were hairballs near the pool and shower, random trash on the floor like wrappers, food particles, toilet paper wads and bottle caps along with leaves and twigs. I messaged asking for it to be services. A housekeeper came in and cleaned the bathroom but never walked around the room. My assessment is that housekeeping is a problem here.

Got to the hotel at 3:30pm no room ready to check into yet! Food left in fridge and the towel rack in the bathroom was broke and hanging

There were some cleaning issues with the bathroom. There is a lotion dispenser by the sink and the top of it was dirty. Something that isn't the cleaning staff's fault is the way the mirror is hung over the countertop. Water can be splashed under the mirror into a place where it is impossible to wipe up. If it drips off of the back of the countertop I can't figure out where it goes or how the cleaning staff could possibly wipe it up. The staff at the entrance desk were helpful if you could find them. The hot food for breakfast appeared to be hot in the buffet area but the dining area was so cold your food was cold before you had a chance to eat it. I presume that is so that people will eat quickly and move on. It could create a health hazard.

Our room had an add smell, the fire suppression thing on the ceiling was wrapped up in tape? The TV didn't work and no one was at the desk when I tried calling and went down to the lobby to see if it could be fixed. The bed was comfy and my husband slept well.

Staff was amazing.. Pool was clean and so was the breakfast area was clean. Rooms were a bit outdated and needed some extra TLC.. The elevator needed a new paint job.. Just simple basic updates..

Had issues with door handles but didn't effect stay and everything was great. Love walking to the feild, worth it!
