The staff were very helpful- assisted us in getting to a concert and the bar was friendly and comfortable. The beds were comfortable a pillow for any kind of sleeper. Quiet good night’s sleep. I would stay here next time I’m in KC,MO.

Very close to city market and the street car!

Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were clean and beds where very comfortable. Hotel restaurant, the food and drinks were good.

Room was clean, staff was helpful, parking was difficult during the soccer game but we were warned ahead of time and planned for it. Overall will continue to use The Origin for our future visits.

Now here is the worst part and what will stop me from returning to this hotel. Parking! There is ample street parking around the hotel and a parking lot behind the hotel. I was told street parking was controlled by the city and cost $31/day. That is not a typo $31/day! The parking lot behind the hotel is also controlled by the city but the hotel was able and willing to comp the parking charge. Very nice of them, however, the lot is far too small for this hotel. We were extremely fortunate to find a spot back there after we checked in around 10pm. The next morning, I watched as the hotel staff arrived and circled the lot also looking for a spot. This exasperated the problem. I had to drive to a nearby location for about 20 minutes. When I returned all spots were taken so I had to wait for someone to come out and leave. This only took about 30-45 minutes. Thankfully, I did not have something pressing to do. This is a very large inconvenience. If you do not need to worry about parking this hotel is extremely nice, with a great staff and fun amenities.
