The air conditioning was broken during an extreme heat wave. It had been broken. They did not tell guests when they checked in it was broken misrepresenting what was advertised for amenities for the hotel. They took the $520/night and waited for guests to “discover” this very unpleasant surprise. Shockingly unprofessional and amongst the worst staff and hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

AC didn’t work. Got moved to 3 different rooms and both nights had to wait hours to get ac fixed
-
Our first room was blowing out heat (85°) so we were switched to a second room which was fine. It did take 20 min for us to have hot water …every shower. Dinner was good and bartender was friendly. Breakfast buffet was absolutely horrible.
-
The trash trucks tight below our window at8am was not fun.
-
We had a horrible experience, we were moved from our original room three times because of dirty rooms, ac not working. The staff was very nice but I wasn’t the only guest having the same issues. I will not go back!
-
There was live jazz in the restaurant and the check in process was quick. There are plenty of cool spots nearby
-
This is a wonderful old world hotel right in the heart of things. Great facilities and walking distance to everything....and the price is outstanding for what you get.
-
The Savoy always provides amazing service and the room was extremely clean. Perfect 3 day stay!
-
There were definitely some spots that looked really cool. I just think they could maybe go with the boutique flair a little bit more so that we could get the feel of such a grand old hotel better. the front desk person while very pleasant was not helpful at all as far as telling us where the elevator even was at, what time they had breakfast or about the restaurant. She really didn’t give us any information so we were a little disappointed in that.

The bed was huge and very comfortable The gym was clean and modern

We had a very nice stay at the historic Savoy Hotel which is in a great location in downtown Kansas City. When we arrived, the room were given had an issue with the air conditioning. The front desk person, Leah, took care of everything right away and gave us another room. We were so appreciative and it made our stay that much better. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were top notch and very accommodating. From dinner the day we arrived to three wonderful breakfasts, everything was really tasty and fresh. I especially loved the pork dish we had as well as the beet salad. The overnight parking lot right next to the hotel was only $10 too!

Great location though.
-
Nice location in a historic area.

The staff were helpful.

2. Front desk. Everybody was nice and friendly all the time, but I had to ask for things 3, sometimes 4 times before getting them. No housekeeping service every day - no big deal for us, I took out the trash myself and asked for towels and toilet paper at the front desk - nothing upon return, had to track housekeeper again in the hallway to actually get the toilet paper. TV not working upon check in (the message read ask for assistance). Had to ask 3 times before this got resolved. Asked for a wakeup call one night since I had an important event in the morning, never received it. I do not like to complain usually and let small things go, I understand it can get busy and one can forget things, but in this hotel nothing was done upon request, I hope with some training things will change. This is not a Hilton standard. Beautiful property, nice location, but all those little issues added up and spoiled it for us. 3. Water. Be prepared to run water for at least 20 minutes before it gets hot.

Great!

The hotel appears extremely nice in the booking app, and I don’t normally complain but it was one thing after another. upon arrival our room had hairs all over in the bathroom, the tv did not work, and we had no towels. The kitchen was closed for dinner and breakfast the next day “due to equipment issues” and the cherry on top what that they entered our room without knocking before checkout time. Over all the poor front desk girls are trying their best but this hotel was a series of unfortunate events.

Great stay, comfortable room and great TV, too.

Wonderful room and clean hotel. Very quiet and helpful staff!
