Hoel was very nice and the staff was very professional and courteous.

Very clean rooms, staff was very friendly and smiled a lot. We had breakfast each morning on site.

And comfortable bed!

The location is great, but you HAVE TO USE VALET PARKING (and it is absolutely not included in the room price) and they do not tell you this upfront. No continental anything — no breakfast or snacks or anything. Also, if you enjoy sleeping on an absolute ROCK, you’ll like the beds. If you prefer something with any give whatsoever to the mattress, look elsewhere. And the mini-fridge, though technically available, almost required a crowbar to open. The hotel is pretty and historic, but… not worth the price.

Very nice unique hotel. The basement bar is cozy with great drinks and staff. We did not eat at the hotel however the menu looked good. Lots of great bars and restaurant within a few blocks. Very short walk to T-MOBILE center. Would definitely stay here again

Exceptional

Overall the Phillips was a fun getaway. The architecture and decor is really cool! We paid extra and upgraded our room to a deluxe king so we could have a little sitting area and received a room without that. We talked to management and they said not all deluxe rooms have that. If we knew we weren’t going to get that, there would have been no reason to upgrade. There’s no mini fridge in the room. We thought the place needed some attention. The tiles on the shower floor were coming off, there was a spot on the bathroom wall that had been repaired but never sanded and repainted. The toilet bowl looked dirty. The paint was chipping off the sink drain. Many of the chairs throughout the premises had spots where the wood and leather were wearing away. The ice water in the lobby was always empty and it was a really hot day. Nothing earth shattering, but could use attention. The speakeasy was really cool but we didn’t stay because it was so loud in there we couldn’t hear each other. Definitely make reservations if you plan to go. We didn’t try any of the restaurants. Location was great- within walking distance to the free street car so we took that everywhere. 10 min walk to the Kauffman Center. 4 min walk to the 10th & Wyandotte parking garage that was $15 to park overnight. Staff was pleasant. Room was clean other than what I mentioned above. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Overall it was a good experience.

Request for towels and linens fell on deaf ears. Could be cleaner. Staff was friendly. Cost of hotel did not match expectations.

The room felt old and worn out. It was clean. The window shade was broken and hard to raise and lower. Given the room price I expected more. The staff was helpful and courteous

For the price of a standard room, we were surprised that a mini cooler was only available upon request. After requesting it took hours to receive, was in questionable shape, and obviously warm. Not a good-looking policy for a 250/night Hilton stay.

The speak easy and the restaurant were fun. Food was good. No mini fridge. The sliding bathroom door is awkward. Bed not comfortable. Parking in that whole area is a mess.

We stayed in room 407. It was dark, not well cleaned, carpets were dirty, bathroom was dirty with toenail clippings inside shower and on the floors. The shower was clogged up so when you took a shower, it went up to your ankles. We asked multiple times for towels and sheets and never got them as well. I also asked the front desk for housekeeping to change the sheets and it was not done. We were not able to enjoy the speakeasy or restaurant so cannot speak to that.

Awesome experience

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice, clean, comfortable room and bed. The full-length mirror in the bathroom was weird though because you can see yourself on the toilet, and also it made me look short and fat.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful food options. Speakeasy is a great touch Had to move rooms as there was a leak through the bathroom ceiling
