Hotel Phillips Kansas City Curio Collection by Hilton

I LOVED this hotel. The room was very cute and clean! We called for an early check in and they were so kind and they even held our bags while we explored. I would 100%stay here again.

Hotel was kept up nicely given historic nature. Very tastefully decorated. Staff was polite. Rooms were clean. Only con was that mini-fridge was not placed in room like I had requested, but not a huge deal and I dealt with it. I did not get to check out their Speak Easy, which sounded really cool.

Love the hotel but so much road work going on. It's on a one-way street and it would have been helpful to have something about this listed as well as what to do to valet park.

Our room was great, very large and had a partial divider between the beds that was great for singles sharing a room. It's like we each had our own area, with nice brass lamps and very comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom, too. Room service was prompt when we called.

I believe the building was renovated in maybe 2016 or so. Some of the amenities are a little worn...like lobby furniture, the ice makers on some of the floors were not working, the exercise room is really small. But the overall vibe and style is great.

Room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly! The speakeasy in the basement was perfect after a night at the theatre!

atmosphere The hotel needs renovation. Well, for starters, everyone else got checked in at 3:00, but they kept me waiting until 4:00... I was willing to pay extra for early check-in—what is with this stubbornness? There is construction work next to the hotels, but the hotels aren't to blame for that. The pillows are terrible; now my neck hurts, and I’m going to see a chiropractor.

Got a room that wasn’t well maintained, outlet was sticking out, windows only had see through curtains, the bathroom door was severely scratched. Otherwise, staff was helpful and kind.

Good location. I kept getting double charged by the property and it took a week to resolve the issue. They also don’t have fridges and microwaves.

Great stay. Love the historic hotel vibe. The speakeasy made it even better. Staff was super friendly and check in and out was super smooth and hassle free.

Room had no Refrigerator or Microwave. No kid friendly, traveling with family. Staff seemed to be annoyed when asking questions.

Great, welcoming staff. Friendly, fast valet. Great location with a fantastic and fun speakeasy in the basement. Historic hotel with modern touches. Some fixtures were broken, but not terribly inconvenient. Would recommend!

The Hotel is beautiful and the speakeasy was amazing! Location was perfect, an easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and music venues. I just wish the room amenities were a little better for the price point. The toilet paper is cheap, we only had one pod each (reg, decaf, and tea), and I wish they had mugs instead of paper cups. I asked the front desk for more pods and they were very helpful. These are small issues that could be easily upgraded to make it feel more luxurious. I would recommend this hotel and will be staying here again
