I loved the location and how attentive the staff was. Will definitely be back!

Walking distance to all of the Power and Light district restaurants and places to see.

It’s an old hotel, and the pictures accentuate the positives. When I arrived, the place felt kinda dingy. The elevators smell funky, and the room was a bit worn down. On the contrary, the staff was incredible. Everyone we encountered was super helpful.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly, the bar and restaurant are great. However, though the room was very nice , the choice of a barn door that gapped on the bathroom along with a full length mirror facing the toilet was weird- especially in a room with 2 queen sized beds. Additionally, the fitness center was nice but at least 15 degrees hotter than the hallway. The hotel did send someone to work on the air the first morning but it was still much warmer than the hallway on the second day. Most people probably don’t use the fitness center but that’s very important to me.

Beautiful hotel. Nice room. Staff was great

I noted that it was past check in time, and she just said “Yes.” Didn’t say sorry. Didn’t offer to call me when the room was ready. My bathroom had hair and dust on the floor. The gym is ridiculously small with no window and minimal machines for a 4 star hotel. Will not be staying here again.

The antique value of the facility and how it has evolved to modern comforts!

A great stay! Love the old character.

We enjoyed a very nice stay at The Phillips. The Speakeasy lounge was a fun stop at the hotel - definitely worth a reservation. We found the bed to be quite comfortable and the bathroom clean. We did wish there was a full-length mirror in the room as the bathroom mirror didn't have great lighting and we were both getting ready at the same time. Otherwise, zero complaints!

Honestly this was supposed to be a wonderful trip for my 30th birthday and it was exactly the opposite. The hotel staff were rude, not helpful, and the food that they served in their Italian restaurant was just about the most disgusting and worst food I’ve had in a while. Also not to mention overpriced. We spent over $100 on two dishes that were so bad we had to tell them to take it back. The beds were old and stiff, and the shower head in the bathroom was about to come off. I honestly don’t know why this place is still in business, or how they are getting away with charging the amount they are on hotel rooms and their food, but I will personally never come back here. The only good thing about the building was that it was art deco, and I am very big fan of that time era. Besides that, it was a huge let down. Please heed my warning and don’t go here. Use your time and money somewhere else.

The staff was friendly and gracious and we loved exploring the beautiful lobby and mezzanine. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a horrendous view of the tops and sides of buildings across the way. No view at all of your beautiful city.
-
The room was spacious and clean. We ate dinner at their restaurant, which was really good and had a good selection of food. The PS Speakeasy down in the basement was awesome. The staff was friendly. The hotel is only a 3 minute walk to Power &Light. We have stayed here several times and really enjoy it.
