My husband and I stayed at the Hilton President for two nights while celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary, and overall it was a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a sleek, ultra-modern hotel, this probably isn't the place for you,and that's exactly why we chose it. The Hilton President embraces its history, and that's what makes it special. Built in 1926, the hotel has done an incredible job preserving its Art Deco architecture and historic character. From the beautiful woodwork and original details to the little displays featuring old menus and pieces of the hotel's past, you truly feel like you've stepped back in time. My husband loves architecture, and I love history, so it was the perfect place for us. We stayed in a corner room that was spacious, bright, and had a very comfortable bed. Like any historic building, there are a few quirks. The water pressure took a little patience to find the sweet spot between hot and cold, and the toilet wasn't the strongest. Honestly though, those things didn't take away from the experience because they're part of staying in a building that's nearly a century old. Breakfast in the Walnut Room was another highlight. The buffet had a great variety, everything was fresh and filling, and the vintage music playing in the background perfectly complemented the atmosphere. We didn't make it to the Drum Room this trip, but even walking by it made us want to come back. The only area where our experience was inconsistent was the service. We arrived a little after 11 p.m. after a four-hour drive, so I came straight from work. My first interaction with the evening front desk staff left me feeling uncomfortable. I didn't feel welcomed, and I walked away wondering if I was inconveniencing them simply by checking in.

Location was good! Very old but remolded Hotel, very clean! I had a dead battery the next morning and the front desk clerk was very helpful with that,he found us a place to call to get a jump . The room we got was on the 4th floor facing the street and we heard all the motorcycles and cars racing and people yelling, very busy and loud night, for the price I was very disappointed and speaking of price you would think the parking or breakfast would have been included but they charged you for both and not a fair price either

Location is great Staff is not very friendly. A/c broke down 1 of the 4 nights i stayed there. They kept saying jt was motion sensor and kind of blame it on me.. room was 80F and it was the third night, certainly not lack of understanding how an A/C works. Room telephone to communicate with front desk wasnt working and staff was rude

The hotel is in the heart of downtown, just one block from the streetcar. The deposit was $75. I only stayed for one night, but I really liked the convenient location. N/A
