Excellent, great atmosphere for World Cup

An updated hotel in an art deco property which is most noticeable in the lobby and bar. Room was updated but did have several minor maintenance issues that needed to be fixed. The location was excellent a block away from the Power and Light entertainment district and the streetcar line on Main St. For the World Cup they had TVs set up in the lobby area. We didn't go to the restaurant or onsite bar. There is a Starbucks but there is a much better coffee shop with breakfast just up the street, PJs. Overall happy with the stay and would stay again. The price was reasonable for the hotel type and location.

The staff on the front desk and the bar (Drum) we're amazing, saw I was on my own and took the timeout to interact with me which made me feel at home immediately, thank you for that. Also, the look of the place when you walk in blew me away, this is the only hotel I will consider when I return. Genuinely can't think of anything that I didn't like.

The staff, the location While the stay was comfortable, the hotel facilities felt somewhat dated and in need of refreshing. For a rate of around $550 per night, I would have expected more attentive housekeeping, including replenishing coffee pods and replacing used towels. The breakfast was average, and overall the value for money did not match the price paid.

- Breakfast was very limited and product not of a Hilton quality!!! - no concierge…neither flyers on local attraction…even people at the reception can not tell you the most common one…e.g. I asked where is the closest hop on hop off city tour and they were not helpful

There are far better hotel options available in Kansas City in the same area at the same price.

Had a great stay at the Hilton President. The only problem was a misunderstanding about dining. The breakfast was not complimentary at all with this booking. Drum Room was nice. Room was nice and clean. Location was excellent!

Historic and well taken care of. Parking was good and safe easy to use Room comfy but on front of hotel lots of traffic noise from unruly FIFA Soccer fans
